    Is he actually going then?

Most of our attacking play goes through him, yes he might miss a few chances but his hold up play etc. is actually pretty good. Always occupies a CB or two.

We have no-one else in the squad like him, without a big & nasty up top we’re stuffed?

Not too bothered as long as we bring in a replacement and I’m sure Turnbull will have a few on his radar, most likely on loan.

For most of the game last week Nutall was a passenger, a big lad who wins nothing in the air and very rarely uses his size as a big and nasty.

The fact that he’s off to a team struggling near the base of the table speaks volumes.

Always liked Nutall hopefully he can do a job for us. A few pound also exchanged, from what I’m told Scunny need the cash.

To say Nuttall wins nothing in the air is completely untrue, his first touch is poor yes but he does win balls in the air and won several in the last game against Dorking. Be sorry to see him go as his physical presence is required particularly at the level we currently play at.

Not being funny but I didn’t spend money on a season ticket to see one of our best players leave not even halfway through the season to a club a few places above.

    Absolute shambles.

Keeps the lights on for another month.

It’s difficult for us to judge this isn’t it? Because crowds aren’t terrible this season, you might have thought that things would be ok since our crowds are not dissimilar to a number of clubs in this division and even in higher ones.

Whether you like players of Nuttall’s type or not. It’s always handy for clubs at our level to have a long ball type of outlet when under pressure at the back. The fear now is anything long will just come straight back to our flakey looking defence to deal with. I’m a strong believer at this level that there’s nothing wrong with old school tactics of a big un and a little un. Let’s see what, if anything comes in to replace him…….

Can only imagine Nuttall was brought in on the unlikely basis we would still be a league club.

I really didn’t rate him last year but in fairness he had turned it around and was turning into a useful player at this level.

It is a sign of how desperate things are though; just cannot see how we survive this year.

Seems odd letting him go just before were due to play them I would have thought they would drag it out another week so he can’t play against us.

I’d echo that, maybe a good example of how players look better when they have a better team around them.

And there I was beginning to like him, his attitude changed this year and was well up for it Saturday. Goal wise no sad loss his goals have only earned us 1pt.

Has to be a 6 figure fee surely with an agreement he doesn’t play against us.

    I’d be astounded if it’s 6 figures

Just when there was light at the end of the tunnel we are selling one of our better players, I don’t think our owner wants us to stay in the National League, just hope there is no truth in the rumour about Butterfield as well.

Not sure such agreements are allowed under FA rules though of course there’s always a way of doing it.

it will be an Interesting Turnbull update tomorrow if this is true, 4 days of thinking maybe we had started to turn a corner then this! If Nuttall was not happy with us why has he just bought a house in Bawtry.

Perhaps could it be that we are starting to play better. Two draws and a win. Could this be the reason that, if the rumour is true, and Nuttall is leaving, that certain people are getting worried we may survive as a club.

a big lad who wins nothing in the air and very rarely uses his size as a big and nasty.

You must be watching different games to me as I see him winning almost everything in the air unless its too high, some really good flick on’s v Dorking too.

Whether you like him or not, if we’re selling our top scorer less than a quarter of the way into the season to a league rival then the only take away is…shambles!

Whitehouse lives at Beckingham and that is 4 miles away, but never seen him, I only know because my cousin told me and he went to school with his mum.
