put a good shift in and pleased he got applauded off when he was substituted, new season so lets give the lad a chance, he threw the dummy out in that game but will have learned a lesson we hope but having fans ridiculing you will certainly make you react, whether a pro or not.

July 17, 2022 at 11:24 am #240792I think all fans have moved on from the events of last season, however we do need to see something from him aside from putting in a “good shift”.
The reason he wasn’t on the end of any of those crosses yesterday is because he lacks movement in the box. If he improves on that and finds himself in the right positions, you’d think he should have the quality to finish a few.
My only concern is that if he doesn’t score in the first few games, will his head drop like last season?

July 17, 2022 at 11:39 am #240793He didn’t score the first one as he was out on the right wing crossing the ball for Daniel (good ball in too).
How often have we see our number 9 out wide?
Is it because we lack bona fide wingers?
July 17, 2022 at 11:57 am #240796Either that NI or he genuinely doesn’t know where to play on the field
July 17, 2022 at 12:48 pm #240799Nuttall is a very inexperienced player considering how long he has been a pro. I thought he looked much happier alongside Daniel.
Let’s be fair the guy has a lot to learn.
All I ask of him is that there is progression and he wants to be ‘the best he can be’.
Over his next dozen starts – we’ll learn a lot about him.2 users thanked author for this post.
July 18, 2022 at 6:27 am #240825Should not still be at the Club.
His actions in the last home game towards the Fans should mean he never wore the shirt again
Anyone in any other business who did that to a firms customers would have been sacked on the spot !1 user thanked author for this post.
July 18, 2022 at 8:46 am #240830Might well have agreed but the matter has now been closed. He’s made a contrite apology and will still be here this season.
Water under Keadby Bridge. Reluctantly or not – time for us to move on.1 user thanked author for this post.
July 18, 2022 at 10:54 am #240834Move on, some haven’t forgiven Ivan Toney for trying to take that penalty that Morris went on to miss.

July 18, 2022 at 10:57 am #240835you often get a warning before a dismissal in any job unless it was serious, didn’t our fans provoke him first, though he still should have bit his lip.

July 18, 2022 at 11:14 am #240836I personally don’t like to see a big lad / target man moving into the channels, but although he’s a reasonable size his game isn’t like a Steve Torpey so he’s probably been told to use the channels and make space for a strike partner or midfielder coming through. Glad the majority are backing him, hopefully if everyone has a sense of togetherness then the club won’t stay out of the EFL for too long.
July 18, 2022 at 11:31 am #240837Fully agree with Les, time to move on, he made a mistake but his conkers were big enough for him admit it and say sorry, that’s good enough for me.

July 18, 2022 at 12:51 pm #240843The only way Nutter can redeem himself to me is for him to score 20 goals this season. Apart from his indiscretions, he has been appalling on the pitch. No pace, no muscle, no interest and so this has to change. We have got what we have got, (presumably another one of Swann’s pathetic signings) but I wouldn’t say ‘time to move on’ unless you are referring to Nutter. We can put our feelings on hold and give him our support whilst he is on the pitch, providing his game improves significantly, but if he let’s us down…….
July 18, 2022 at 1:22 pm #240845You sound a hard taskmaster Invisibleman but I’ve already seen through you.
July 18, 2022 at 2:48 pm #240853I think he’s really put the graft in so far , he looks in terrific shape so he’s obviously 100% committed. I’d rather see him score but the ball he whipped in for Daniel from the right was class so at least he’s contributing. I think he’ll do well this season.
