Hope a certain section of our so called fans happy now. Leading scorer sold to relegation rivals

Scunthorpe United have said that an improved offer hasn’t been made by Oldham Athletic for Joe Nuttall. @SUFCOfficial
say the striker isn’t interested in moving to Boundary Park. #Iron #UTI #BBCFootball @HumbersideSport”Hard to know who or what to believe these days!!

December 9, 2022 at 1:55 pm #250209It’s Dec 9 today ‘tash.
Three days is a long time in football!
December 9, 2022 at 2:14 pm #250213Another three days before it’s confirmed at our end??
Another communication disaster.December 9, 2022 at 2:44 pm #250214He’s gone..it’s on the SUFC webpage. Can’t say I blame him.
December 9, 2022 at 2:54 pm #250216Not what I wanted from the new owners, maybe the old chestnut “His contract was up in the summer better to get abit of money now than nothing later”
December 9, 2022 at 3:03 pm #250217Making room in the budget? If the club’s statement that no improved offer had been received it “could” indicate that Nuttall received some encouragement to move.
December 9, 2022 at 3:05 pm #250218Hope they have a replacement lined up or will it be like when Loft left.
December 9, 2022 at 3:45 pm #250219Maybe selling off our assets, tractor and lawnmowers next, more valuable than any of the other players .
December 9, 2022 at 6:11 pm #250229I mentioned this a few days back, not surprised.

Didn’t realise the takeover had been confirmed ?

December 9, 2022 at 6:33 pm #250235Looks like a Swann fire sale to me.
December 9, 2022 at 6:48 pm #250237It hasn’t but Ian and Simon did pay the wages last month guess they’ve got their money back now at the expense of Nuttall. Or maybe they’ll walk away now it’s not the club they thought they were buying minus the top goal scorer. Do you think Turnbull is trying to scupper the deal acting without consulting them, if I were up with buying the club I wouldn’t want the top goal scorer selling off.
December 9, 2022 at 7:08 pm #250242Good move for him getting a three year contract, think there is a player in there but needs a good coach,.Out of the frying pan into the fire going to Oldham, fans not happy with manager,,can’t see him developing any better with them. Good luck to him I think he will need it

December 9, 2022 at 8:28 pm #250246He’s certainly got a chance of succeeding at this level but I doubt that will be at a team one place above us.
December 9, 2022 at 8:58 pm #250250I don’t think this sale is going through. No way in a million years if it was serious/close then no player would be sold never mind the top scorer.
I thought player sales were suspended at clubs during the takeover process.
Swann seemingly still holds the aces.
I’m telling you now, this takeover isn’t happening. I told you all not to get too excited.
I wonder what hidden surprised the auditors have found while pouring over the club accounts more thoroughly.
No way in a million years it’s going through. I find it hard to believe that Sharp and co would have sanctioned it which means Turnbull is probably behind this with the say so of Swann.
If that is indeed the case the money won’t get pumped back into the club. This whole carry on with the club appears very, very dodgy.
December 9, 2022 at 9:21 pm #250252Still got to go through the clubs books Burny whoever gets it eventually, Lee said Ian Sharp met the Swanns yesterday.

No announcement as to the state of the deal so as far as we know Peter Swann is still the owner. What concerns me is the word ‘BENEFICIAL’ from Mr Turnbull but zero explanation as to why. Very poor.December 9, 2022 at 10:37 pm #250260A lot of 2+2=5 above. Maybe it’s as simple as Joe wanted out and it made sense to cash in if his head wasn’t here?

December 10, 2022 at 8:56 am #250275And why did Joe want out Deerey?
December 10, 2022 at 9:51 am #250280Three year contract,no brainer on his part.

December 10, 2022 at 10:13 am #250282Better offer, not settled since the latest incident with fans? Is that so hard to understand awaywego?

December 10, 2022 at 10:38 am #250286So much written on Bru which is a hybrid between guesswork and speculation.
December 10, 2022 at 10:59 am #250291Not surprising though, given the circumstances
December 10, 2022 at 1:54 pm #250298What about a statement from the prospective new owners, they need to answer a lot already.
