Surprised he had the brains to work out which finger to use – he certainly doesn’t know where his feet are

Sorry but some of the so called fans were a disgrace today! We had a very young squad and team yet they caused nothing but aggro and disruption during the game when everyone should have been supporting the team.

Said before protest but do it before or after games not when the club has 1 u16 and 5 u18s on the pitch trying to start their careers, also the abuse nuttall received was disgraceful and racist! Yes he shouldn’t have reacted but you can only take abuse for so long.

I for one do not want these morons anywhere near the club going forward! they are not interested in the club and just cause trouble that the club can’t afford, GET OUT OF OUR CLUB GO DRINK CIDER IN THE PARK AND ACT LIKE THREE YEAR OLDS THERE.

Harsh Bartoniron, I don’t agree with your view on not wanting them near the club. For me they have displayed some passion these last few weeks. Too many happy clappers at our club these days.

Felt sorry for Nuttall, apart from his woeful finishing I thought he played OK, but disgraceful behaviour from our fans and can understand him reacting though didn’t see him do it.

Sounds like a description of our present board of directors!

Displaying passion is welcome. However, if some of them were racist to Nuttall, then those fans don’t deserve any backing.

Ah the old adage of being able to give it but not take it. Nuttall didn’t give me the middle finger he gave the lad(s) shouting abuse at him it.

Such cry babies. Violent people can’t get handcuffed, Nuttall can’t give it back after being abused. What a flaky society we live in.

Don’t think it was the group of young fans from the back of the donny road end! They have been brilliant it was the group that want to be allowed into the corner near the away fans so they can wind up and antagonise them

Players should never disrespect fans like that. Very unprofessional.

To be fair to Nuttall I have never heard so much abuse given to one of our players like that before so can understand his reaction, but whether that was before the finger or after I have no idea.

When the players came back out after FT he was actually offering fans to meet him in the car park for a fight. I hope others saw this.

As ever, we have a young forward making his way. It’s the toughest job in football – and there have been plenty on here getting on his back.
The intolerance is not racist but neither is it fair.
I see a player working hard for the team and his role coming together bit by bit.
    It won’t happen overnight.
The lad snapped – and shouldn’t have done – but why do some get onto the back of every young forward? – It has cost us much in past years and so many don’t get it but do complain when one of these guys starts scoring for someone else!
Every chance he will now want to leave.
We need to have someone better lined up before we even consider driving this guy from our club.
    Shame!

There was no racial abuse which is used to defend their own bad behaviour, however he did miss the ball from crosses while in a good positions. Paying supporters have every right to call out poor play and after that behaviour he should be gone tonight. He’s average at best.

Give over Mick. The abuse was all given after he gave the finger because there were a few groans in the crowd when messed up ANOTHER chance.

I was glad the crowd made their feelings known and forced him off the pitch

He came on the pitch afterwards and was responding with fans to meet in the car park. Complete lack of professionalism- show him the door.

Wootton has gone on to get 48 goals for Notts County since being hounded out by certain people.

When will these ‘fans’ realise giving OUR players dogs abuse doesn’t help us!

Wootton was also trying to get in a League 1 side and did nothing whilst on loan at other clubs.

Great that he’s scoring goals now but we gave him plenty of years to prove himself.

Some players are late bloomers, you can’t keep players forever “just incase”.

Nuttall left the pitch and the reaction from the crowd was deserved. He came back out and still didn’t learn and was antagonising the fans again.
This was not racist at all.
So UPTHEIRON99 it’s professional for football players to act like that on the pitch.
    Total disrespect
Why should I buy a season ticket to put towards that player.

I, and I guess most others, don’t know the full facts behind these incidents. The manager needs to establish them, sort out the problem and let the fans know the outcome.
    And quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn’t hear any racist abuse and neither did other people who were there. As said above, the abuse started after he middle fingered us. I also was told he offered out a group of 4 or 5 young uns “teens to late teens” for a scrap in the car park.

How people justify that carry on is beyond me !. I admit he received some stick for messing up another chance and being shite in the air again but it was nothing too over the top.

The way he reacted was absolutely disgraceful.

On a more positive note the kids did really well. The young keeper looked really assured and Wilson played really well.

This season has been an absolute disaster but there are some really good kids here. If we can add 5/6 or 7 old heads to blend it all together, we might be all right.

Some really talented players in the group.

You should have seen it with a section of crowd out of control with the abuse and the chanting abuse was that loud near the halfway line it was deafening.

He came on the pitch afterwards and was responding with fans to meet in the car park. Complete lack of professionalism- show him the door.
