It’s a promising sign that there is a non-family member to join the board as a non-exec. Now assuming Keith Hill hasn’t begged Daddy Swann to have young Will Swann as his Chief Scout even against daddy’s wishes like Neil Cox is alleged to have done, thank him for his service and move him on. I have nothing against the young man but I think the appointment of an inexperienced family member as Chief Scout looks embarassing for the club but also I don’t believe it can be helpful for a young man in his formative 20s to be cossetted in such a way.
