Disappointing but on paper it was a very tough game. It might work in our favour that we go to the Carlisle game still on a high from yesterday because another 3 points would be huge.

At least it gives the likes of Bunn, Kenyon & Davis extra rehabilitation/recovery time.

I think you’re being overly optimistic if you think we’d be able to bring in a new signing on New Year’s Day tas!

Good point by tas, if the recent two postponement aren’t rearranged till late January or even later then we may have new players available from the window to boost our squad and improve things. I’m hoping being home games it works to our advantage, It’s our home form improving in terms of wins that will help us climb the table and also hopefully increase the attendances. Away games matter too but home form is nearly always the key for teams to kick on.

I really do not mind two postponements – but five or more would be contraindicated.

Feels like ages since we’ve played at home so it’s disappointing in that respect, but in the grand scheme of things this will do little harm. Longer time for the players to recuperate and we are going into another huge game against Carlisle on the back of win.

After 3 years of dreading match days they get postponed just when you start looking forward to them again.

He checked with me first Cass, just to confirm the word is correct, I informed him that I had never heard of the word, but I might not be the best person to ask ha ha!!, I sometimes have difficulty with four letter words!!!!!!!!

Funny you should mention ‘The Unassuming Assassin’, Cass, it came out originally in 2005 and I hadn’t bothered to read the upgraded/updated/re-edited version brought out by Steel City Press a couple of years ago.
So that was my Christmas reading and I reread the sequel ‘The Assassin Reassessed’ too. (Lesgeo Junior edited TUA – he is a far superior writer to anything I can do and owns Steel City Press.)
    Good stuff.
(PS. Never buy the old Kindle edition of TUA, BTW – they noused it up. new version is okay, though.)

Also think covid convenient for northamton. Now 3 games cancelled, had several injuries but will go into the Swindon game with a large fit squad as they sit on the edge of auto promotion !!

Also allows some of ours to return for the Carlisle game but Mr Hill would have coped.
