July 20, 2023 at 11:50 am #267153Just bought misen a new telly ready for the footy season … can anyone offer any info on how i can watch the Scunny NLN games LIVE as thats the only reason i got it not interested in any other games really… is via the Club/Iplayer still an option?
July 20, 2023 at 12:02 pm #267155No they will be on http://www.nationalleaguetv.com
I think you will be able to get the evening games and Bank Holiday games but not the Saturday 15:00 games except International break weekends.
They show National League Saturday 15:00 games for international subscribers but seems they are not going to do this for NLN & NLS.

July 20, 2023 at 12:50 pm #267157Ironfromafar, there are many ways but the way that I do it is through my laptop (log on via a VPN coming from a non UK country if you want to get around the UEFA Article 48 regulation not that I would encourage anyone to disrespect any UEFA regulation).
Buy the game via http://www.nationalleaguetv.com and connect your laptop to your brand spanking new TV via an HDMI cable (I am assuming that both the laptop and the TV have an HDMI port).
I am also assuming that as it is on the SUFC website that the National League TV service will start broadcasting our games from the National League North.

July 20, 2023 at 12:54 pm #267159It looks like they are saying they won’t have cameras at the sat 3pm games for the north/south though so they won’t be available internationally which means no getting around it to watch unfortunately.

Get a mate at the game to live stream the match to the group.
He/she would probably need a power-bank or two to screen the full game.July 20, 2023 at 2:43 pm #267174Anonymous

July 20, 2023 at 3:13 pm #267175This doesn’t work. I’ve tried it and a msg comes up saying it is not allowed/ possible to connect to another source from laptop/ iPad. The only way if you have smart a TV is connect your vpn through the tv then connect via the browser
Good luckJuly 20, 2023 at 3:42 pm #267176It looks like they are saying they won’t have cameras at the sat 3pm games for the north/south though so they won’t be available internationally which means no getting around it to watch unfortunately.
Where have you seen that? The website says the following but I guess it may only apply to the conference:
Games taking place during UEFA Blocked Hours (generally kicking off at 3pm) are available outside the UK, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands only.
This doesn’t work. I’ve tried it and a msg comes up saying it is not allowed/ possible to connect to another source from laptop/ iPad. The only way if you have smart a TV is connect your vpn through the tv then connect via the browser
Good luckIf you’re streaming off your computer, you should be able to plug that into your TV via an HDMI or VGA cable. But Airplay should work if your TV is compatible, casting from your phone or ipad.
July 20, 2023 at 3:58 pm #267179I think it was on Twitter – National League Saturday games will be available to international punters (or VPN users) but NLN & NLS will not. Shame but cannot expect much else at the level we are at now.

Only what I read on out OWS it’s just the way I read it. Hopefully I’m wrong but it read to me that they wouldn’t be at North/South games at all Saturday 3pm. It said 300 extra games which is way short if they’re showing all but I guess that could mean 300 extra to UK users.

Good luckThat sounds like an issue with either your laptop or TV having a restriction of some kind.
July 20, 2023 at 7:02 pm #267189I know Humberside didn’t want to broadcast friendlies – but I assume that they are going to do radio broadcasts for NLN games?
July 20, 2023 at 7:57 pm #267193I very much doubt it, the same as The National League won’t be televising any of those games either games either.
July 20, 2023 at 8:36 pm #267198National League will cover Saturday games for international punters as they did for the second half of last season.
Not doing NLN Saturday games though.
No idea if Humberside will be doing radio commentaries though.

Why would you doubt it? I can’t see anything has changed for Humberside when it comes to covering SUFC.
July 21, 2023 at 10:21 am #267209It seems like you get more games if you are NL or NLN on Humberside because there are no restrictions online (least there wasn’t when we were in NL ) so I think every game was either on the wireless or online on the BBC website .
So you might be able to listen to every game on there.

July 21, 2023 at 11:35 am #267213That was certainly the case for us last season Rich, for someone living outside the Humberside FM area it was very handy to be able to listen to games online.
July 21, 2023 at 1:07 pm #267216Yeah I live away so it’s frustrating when it cuts off right before the kick offs online for league games , I wonder if you can get Humberside radio on DAB outside the area somehow ?
You should be sorted though , enjoy listening to games a shame local BBC sports coverage seems to be getting cost cut a lot.
July 21, 2023 at 2:44 pm #267218Yeah, the local stations are really getting hollowed out with all of the cuts forced on the Beeb, a real shame.
I think the DAB broadcast is only local.
I do think it’s daft that the EFL won’t let local radio stations broadcast their games on the BBC digital platforms, makes no sense.
