It’s a bit late Shooter to say “don’t destroy our club” this has happened already over the past three years. I still have that feeling that land and club bankrupsy has a lot to do with what is happening, it is a very sad situation, but some fans keep saying “give it another ten matches”, the trouble is that this statement has been stated from the beginning of last season, and things never change, well thats not true, they do change for the worse, the problem is that there will be enough of the beleivers that give Swann and Cox their backing, why ho why this is so is too bad to be happening.

September 12, 2021 at 8:07 am #213558I said from Day 1 that Swann would not be good for the club. He’s a danger, and incapable of any self-criticism. Why anyone thinks he has the best in mind for anyone but himself is beyond belief, his actions away from the club have shown that.

September 12, 2021 at 9:26 am #213562I too saw through Swann very early on.
Sadly there are STILL folk on here unable to come to terms with having been wrong about him.If Sutton win their game in hand we’re in the relegation spots.
And there, except for a miracle, we’ll stay.3 users thanked author for this post.

Derby will not have their debt wiped out. Did any Scunthorpe united fan wish for SUFC to lose their stadium and the land around it?

That agreement is only in place whilst the club are trading, if they go bankcrupt, which is very probable, there will not be a football club and the assets do not belong to the club, they belong to Mr Swanns company that now owns them.
So continue your arse licking UTI99, no one takes any notice of what you spew out.

“I will build us a brand new state of the art 12000 seater stadium on a greenfield site”.
“I will now build the new stadium on a different greenfield site”.
“The club’s existing stadium will be rebuilt in stages”.
“I will build a new block of apartments to help fund the club”
Now, remind us which statements we should believe?

September 18, 2021 at 10:55 am #213890This afternoon we’ll be playing at a stadium that another astute businessman (Michael Knighton) set out to redevelop.
Well, he got 25% of the way there, whilst another 25% of the ground remains unused.
There are many who can talk the talk, but few who can walk the walk!
September 18, 2021 at 1:22 pm #213893We have Swann’s word for what is stated on the leasing agreement. The same person who could not decide if it was 999 or 99 year lease. The same guy who has banned local journo’s from entering a ground he rarely visits, who doesn’t think twice about calling the lawyers in against fans. Local historians/fans literary pieces banned from being sold in the club shop, or even on the grounds. Just watching Staffy selling his book out of his car boot in Debenhams car park tells you everything you need to know….

Your previous post stated a 99 year period, this one states over a hundred years, and I’m fairly sure I originally saw a figure of 999 years stated. Dodgy or a mistake?
None of which takes away from the fact that NO football club should have ownership of its stadium, and surrounding assets, transfered to another company, ever.2 users thanked author for this post.
September 18, 2021 at 2:10 pm #213900Hey TW. Can we have Grant and Cliff back when your soon to be owner brings in his Turkish management team?
September 18, 2021 at 2:11 pm #213901PS I would have them back as players at the moment.

Sooner the better, 2 wins in his last 31 Championship games. Oh and it’s a certain irony that before one Turk can come two turds have to sell, and there’s been more rumoured buyers than Swann stadium start dates! 🙂
