I think I’ll try and do all the away games next season.

    The ones i’ve been to:

Boston’s new ground is decent, in the home end you can get a pint and some decent food. and only a mile or so out of town.

Then you have Peterborough Sports, One Terrace behind the goal and two smallish stands. i got shouted at by a steward for standing in the wrong bit. Manager is a gobshite.

Kings Lynn is alright but they are one of the more expensive in the league. and Kings Lynn is like someone put the set of Eastenders on the wash.

Alfreton not far from Railway Station, Good bar, food, not sure how they’d cope with a big away crowd.

Blyth is like an old Div 3(N) ground from the fifties. Covered “shed” standing to three sides and compact stand with seating containing the offices/changing rooms etc. Friendly, accommodating club house detached from the concourse (you need an old club style pass out ticket to move between the two).

Again, not really geared up for more than a couple of hundred away fans, so would be interesting. However they could well go down this year as they’ve been teetering for a while.

Spennymoor similar. I didn’t get this year and they were doing building works before Covid. So not sure regarding facilities.

Both clubs are in small towns that have suffered from the closures of mines and industries and fairly run-down.

Not been to Darlo’s current home but my mate reckons it pretty tidy.
