Brackley away followed by 2 newly promoted sides then 3 tricky fixtures to see out a 6 game August
July 10, 2024 at 1:27 pm #287809Now knowing the fixtures/opponents
August prediction3 wins
2 draws
1 defeat11 points from 18 …
What would your REALISTIC-HAPPY August points tally br ??
Will Wondergoals be hoisting the main sail on HMS piss the league again this year , after last seasons titanticesk voyage im guessing a more realistic evaluation of the Irons chances.
July 10, 2024 at 1:27 pm #287810Might as well start off with the toughest game of the season.
Bit like last year.
July 10, 2024 at 1:31 pm #287811Well 2 North East games on a Tuesday in bloody November , Needham market on a Tuesday and they say they try and not play to far away on night matches only 140 odd miles away, Peterborough sports boxing day when there’s no trains away. Overall for me pretty shite.
July 10, 2024 at 1:34 pm #287812As depressing as the weather!

July 10, 2024 at 1:35 pm #287813At least this year we know it’s going to be one of our toughest games.
You would never have guessed Tamworth were going to p1ss the league either before or after last seasons opener.
Seems a bit harsh to be opening and closing the season with 2 long distance away games once again.

July 10, 2024 at 1:39 pm #287815Absolute shite, away first and last day of season, the mighty and well supported Peterborough sports and kings lynn for Christmas and Easter, alfreton away Tuesday night…couldn’t be much worse in my view…only positive Scarborough away during the last knockings of summer, but poor consolation. Surely we didn’t request any of the above !!

July 10, 2024 at 1:43 pm #287816Having had time to peruse the full fixture list i am in agreement with previous comments .. its pretty dam bad on numerous fronts.
July 10, 2024 at 1:52 pm #287818I bet we did, f row crew. They always try and look after us lol.
Well there’s always the fa cup draw, who did we get last season! 14th of September game always, remember seeing the first snow on our opening games in the fa cup should be ok this year.July 10, 2024 at 1:53 pm #287819Will Wondergoals be hoisting the main sail on HMS piss the league again this year , after last seasons titanticesk voyage im guessing a more realistic evaluation of the Irons chances.
I think we’ll do well this season for what it’s worth. No clueless Jimmy Dean and a more fitter team. I obviously haven’t got a crystal ball, but I firmly believe that if we had a fitter team last year with a more clued up manager we would have gone up.

Hope your right WGs ..
I know its early anf guesswork but whats your REALISTIC August points target anyone ???? .. 12/18 im going for.
July 10, 2024 at 2:32 pm #287823Sorry but still well pissed off,
Picked Warrington to look at there’s, don’t know why I picked them but I did, 4 local Derby’s in the last 5 games of the season, who the bloody hell sorts these fixtures out.July 10, 2024 at 2:53 pm #287824Methinks Warrington is better positioned geographically than we are to have “local” derbies!
July 10, 2024 at 3:20 pm #287825Crap set of fixtures. Brackley will be a tough opener

Also the league use the Christmas and Easter fixtures for ‘derby games’. Well, the most optimal geographically near teams for the league. Unfortunately, for us that means Kings Lynn and Peterborough Sports.
July 10, 2024 at 4:50 pm #287828You have to play everyone twice sooner or later, does it matter when
July 10, 2024 at 5:09 pm #287830Footballing wise no Mick, for fans yes it does matter.
Yes I know Warrington have more and nearer Derby’s NI but the national league send out to every club a statement on how they compile the fixtures then seem to totally disregard it, Warringtons derby games could and should be midweek games for fans traveling.
Done now nothing’s going to change more of the same next year no doubt.July 10, 2024 at 7:52 pm #287833Throw into the mix the likelihood of last minute cancellations in this dog shit league and the fixtures get worse!
July 12, 2024 at 1:47 pm #287899Very tough opening game. August will be a test for butlers boys but might help to set some realistic expectations for the season ahead I.E give wondergoals a reality check!
July 12, 2024 at 4:03 pm #288042Not that you’re weaving a narrative of course.
