1 (one) point in the league and a Mickey Mouse Trophy defeat from a part time team a league below.

A defeat on the cards on Saturday.

Where do we go from here?

For me I think we’ll be on the train from Sheffield to Leamington when the games called off just to complete the nightmare, or something else along them lines and I hope its not trees on the line.

It’s not gone away though by any means though Deerey, and your not helping though with your relentless digs.
If he reverts back to his old formation and gets the same results the Butler out brigade will get even stronger.
Happy bunnies yesterday let’s hope it stays that way. I believe Michelle had words with him sooner than she said in her interview prior trophy game, time will tell not long till Tuesday, or perhaps Leamington were the only teams play that warranted a back 4 lol.

Reap what you sow. It’s a forum, as I’ve been reminded. You should be able to take some mockery and reminders about your extreme calls.

You only believe Michelle had a word with him because it suits your narrative.

No I don’t mind Deerey but was just a gentle hint to your normal stance.
It’s not a narrative Michelle said she might need to have words in her interview and like I said it’s not long till Tuesday’s game for us to see more evidence either way.

Let’s end it on a high.

Well it certainly was not the high ending we hoped for. Alas probably the worst game of football in recent history to conclude Nightmare November. Question now is will we get a Dreadful or Delightful December? I suspect the answer to that question lies in the hands of our board and their action (or inaction) in the coming days.

Got to get rid now surely with the two week gap till our next match. We won’t ever get as a good of a time to get rid. It would give the new manage ample time to then assess the squad an realise what he needs. I doubt it would take longer than a few days when he realises the options he has out wide.

Humberside where waiting over an hour for him to come out for the post match interview. Was Michelle and co having a lengthy conversation with Butler maybe ?

Fingers crossed that was the case.

Inaction from the board so here’s my prediction for ‘Dire December’. More turgid hoofball, defensive 5 at the back set ups, players looking more confused by the game and the repetition of old and tired soundbites from a manager thats becoming so detached from reality, he may need to be sectioned before the years out. The only thing plummeting faster than our league position will be our falling gates numbers. By end of December when the club coffers have taken enough of a pounding due to lost gate revenue, the board will finally be spurred into action and Santa will deliver us a new manager wrapped with a bow, in time for the turn of the year. By which point the league will be gone to pull aways Curzon and we will spend the rest of the season hoping the new gaffer can recoach our team back to a something that resembles a footballing side, so we can scrape the play offs and at least be in with a shot of winning that lottery. UTI!

A rather depressing post 414 alas its sadly quite accurate as to how i see things panning out, the only difference i reckon AB will scrap enough points and get to the end of the season finishing 7 to 10th before he and Scoff get the chop.

As we fall away down the leage and with this dire football leading to fans staying away im sure it will have an knock on effect not only lost gate revenue but also to the many different fundraising schemes that are on the go and constantly pushed ie lottery, footy cards auctions and events etc etc ..goodwill only lasts so long and the recent BovD radio silence doesnt help.

Baa Humbug I HEAR YOU CRY !!

I’d possibly agree with your end of season prediction IFA if it wasn’t for the bottom line taking such a hit. Don’t think Michelle will tolerate the tumbling gates for long after everything she’s said about not allowing the club to get into financial trouble again. A prolonged period of low gates would render all the summers cost cutting useless. With many staying away (and being vocal about it) I think she will want the ‘new manager bounce’ both on the pitch and on the gate numbers.

We surely will not end 7th to 10th playing the ‘maybe avoid relegation style football’ currently in evidence.

I’m honestly surprised at the lack of action from the board. They must be comfortable with the performances because the silence is deafening. They will know fans don’t believe in Butler and yet nothing.

I wonder whether their plan is to see this season out with Butler In charge and then go part time. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if Michelle doesn’t open up more shares to fans and go down the route of this being a fan owned club with her stepping away.

I just have a hunch this is where we’ll end up.

There’s no ‘lack of action’ because there’s no action to be taken. I trust they are letting the coaching staff and players sort out the on pitch problems, as they should do. I’m not surprised in the slightest there’s no action as there’s no reason to react to armchair football managers telling them how to run the club.

Deerey you’ve spouted real some horse excrement on this platform but the suggestion that three old blokes (sorry chaps!) posting their honest assessment on the rubbish football we’ve seen, are somehow to blame for the shit show on Saturday is preposterous, even by your standards. If Butler remains in post and we therefore fail to be promoted it’s our fault for not clapping away like performing seals? Come off it!

If you want to put your head in the sand and pretend Butler-ball is the best football you’ve ever seen and we will win the league at a canter, in the hope that the ‘prophecy will self-fulfill’ then be my guest. But that sounds like some new-age nonsense (some of) the youth of today practice, in order to avoid having to roll their sleeves up and do some graft!

Those of us that live on planet earth with functioning eye balls, have seen the turgid tripe been served up at GP under Butler this season and rightly have reason to be concerned. It seems you don’t attend many matches Deerey so perhaps your NLTV is malfunctioning and showing you a different game to the one the rest of us are watching down at GP, or maybe you are just living in cloud cuckoo land.

Some of us go to games Deerey, we’re not all armchair football managers.

Don’t need to be a football manager for those who went to see that was one of the worse performances from a scunny team ever.

And you don’t need to be an owner to know that keep serving that dross up to your customers that you’ll soon end up with less customers.

I’m not surprised there’s lack of action either I’m sure she’ll give him every chance to turn it round but there’s only so many chances she can give him before said action needs taking.

I personally don’t think there’s anyway back for him to win most fans over again.
    Time will tell.

Hold hard trigger! I didn’t say you were to blame for Saturday. You are contributing to a spiral of doom IMO though. The negativity is feeding the negativity. I’m sure you can understand that. I won’t resort to insults and hyperbole to try get my point across.

‘If you want to put your head in the sand and pretend Butler-ball is the

Absolutely not saying that and you know it. I’ve acknowledged countless times it’s been very poor. But hey, distort the truth why don’t you.

Is this the only way you can get your point across? Trump like slurs and insults? Speaks volumes. Have a sherry and simmer down old boy. You’ll burst a blood vessel. Are you old enough to remember Mr Angry from Purley? You’re sounding very much like him.

Should have known your next response would involve an accusation of ‘abuse, insults or slurs’. It’s your go to response for anyone and everyone who questions or criticises. You’re becoming as predictable as Butlers game plan Deerey. ;)

The way you put things can be very dismissive and provocative. Misrepresenting people’s points. Deerey wasn’t saying it was the best football ever seen, for example.

What about hyperbole? You didn’t mention that. Hey, I’m just stating the bleedin obvious about your argument style which frequently relies on insults, abuse and slurs. And no, that doesn’t mean I’ve lived a sheltered life, don’t like the rough and tumble of the terraces or are supposedly ‘woke’ etc etc, as you and others lamely label me. I get you’re very upset and won’t be happy till Butler goes but I really don’t get the sheer arrogance of some posters thinking their theories, claims and notions are absolute and mustn’t be challenged or mocked. You could always scweem and scweem and scweem till the Board listens to you I suppose?

‘Don’t need to be a football manager for those who went to see that was one of the worse performances from a scunny team ever.’

You’re missing the point again awaywego. The point about ‘armchair football managers’ wasn’t a criticism of those who can clearly see theres something wrong and needs sorting out rapid; it was aimed at those that think they have all the answers and shouldn’t be challenged about them. All the answers with no experience but they’re absolutely right, apparently. Incredible levels of arrogance. I’ll credit you with not being in that bracket, but can’t agree with your Butler Out stance.
