Noticed that myself the other day Samways, thought maybe they were ones that Scunthorpe had sold to Peterborough ex pats, but when you go on there web site nothing, no ticket info for home or away games, made me smile when clicking their “what’s on page” and that was blank as well, did you notice one person sitting by himself how sad.

Butterfield the first of quite a few big selection issues for JD ….will Roberts start ??? a much better performance needed at GP next Saturday.

Used to love visiting London Road. Happy hunting ground for a while. Proper old skool stadium.

Remember going in the early seventies to watch us grab a 1-0 away win, Mike Angus got the goal I believe, think he came on loan from somewhere and yes London Road was a bit of a throwback to an earlier age for football, haven’t been to Peterborough for years.

Actually on reflection it was the early eighties, think John Duncan must have been manager in Mike Angus’s time.

Remember winning first match of the season at London Road when Jamie Forrester scored in our 1-0 win. The turnstile bloke let us lift my daughter over for free because she was only about five at the time!

2 nil win early 80s on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. Stuart Pilling both goals? At least one. Marvelous for the travelling 30-40 of us. A happy Holloways coach returning.

He may or may not be wallowing in his glory, he may or may not be a tactical genius, but, his substitutions did change the game and won us 3 points.

They did well with low budget team like Peterborough Sports.
Don’t underestimate them.
I think it’s a difficult game.

I wished i shared the optimism of those predicting the score this Saturday on the Fans fB page .. i fancy another tight game that wont be the pasting some are expecting,, a win against Scarboro means Peterboro will be coming full of confidence to get one over their old gaffa.

sorry to veer off topic briefly with a hint of negativity but i did notice our some what creditable results in pre season against FL opposition maybe be put into prospective with Hull Donny and Burton all loosing on the opening day.. also both members of last seasons 100 point club comprehensively brought down to L2 earth.

Back to this coming Saturday.. dare i say , surely Scunny cant play any worse than they did at Tamworth… still mulling over my prediction , i take it no injuries from last Saturday ?
