SUFC ticket website suggests they’ve sold a grand total of 6 tickets so far.
Couple of selection headaches for Jimmy, will Butterfield start?
August 6, 2023 at 1:57 pm #268608Jimmy will be wallowing in the glory of bringing Butterfield on after an hour to win the game.
Tactical genius don’t you know!
August 6, 2023 at 2:12 pm #268612Noticed that myself the other day Samways, thought maybe they were ones that Scunthorpe had sold to Peterborough ex pats, but when you go on there web site nothing, no ticket info for home or away games, made me smile when clicking their “what’s on page” and that was blank as well, did you notice one person sitting by himself how sad.

Butterfield the first of quite a few big selection issues for JD ….will Roberts start ??? a much better performance needed at GP next Saturday.

August 6, 2023 at 8:31 pm #268627Just to remind us where we are operating these days, I see Peterborough Sports crowd yesterday against Scarborough was 352, reality check or what. 😳
August 6, 2023 at 8:49 pm #268628Used to love visiting London Road. Happy hunting ground for a while. Proper old skool stadium.
August 6, 2023 at 9:20 pm #268630Remember going in the early seventies to watch us grab a 1-0 away win, Mike Angus got the goal I believe, think he came on loan from somewhere and yes London Road was a bit of a throwback to an earlier age for football, haven’t been to Peterborough for years.
August 6, 2023 at 9:36 pm #268632Actually on reflection it was the early eighties, think John Duncan must have been manager in Mike Angus’s time.
August 6, 2023 at 10:12 pm #268633Remember winning first match of the season at London Road when Jamie Forrester scored in our 1-0 win. The turnstile bloke let us lift my daughter over for free because she was only about five at the time!
August 6, 2023 at 10:57 pm #2686352 nil win early 80s on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. Stuart Pilling both goals? At least one. Marvelous for the travelling 30-40 of us. A happy Holloways coach returning.
August 6, 2023 at 11:05 pm #2686361971? Won 1-0 with Terry Heath scoring. Five of us drove down in a battered Hillman Minx.
Happy days!

He may or may not be wallowing in his glory, he may or may not be a tactical genius, but, his substitutions did change the game and won us 3 points.
August 7, 2023 at 5:52 am #268640Gash & Steel’s tactic is inherit from Jimmy.
They did well with low budget team like Peterborough Sports.
Don’t underestimate them.
I think it’s a difficult game.August 7, 2023 at 3:23 pm #268670I wished i shared the optimism of those predicting the score this Saturday on the Fans fB page .. i fancy another tight game that wont be the pasting some are expecting,, a win against Scarboro means Peterboro will be coming full of confidence to get one over their old gaffa.
Being accurate so often im saving my prediction til later in the week ..
August 7, 2023 at 6:42 pm #268681Isn’t Cathy of Aragon buried just up the road?
August 7, 2023 at 6:54 pm #268684Yep in Peterborough Cathedral, as far away from Henry as she could possibly get, in the circumstances.😂
August 7, 2023 at 7:01 pm #268687There was trouble in the car park after the game in which Mike Angus scored. UTWI
August 7, 2023 at 8:20 pm #268698Don’t think they play at London road?
August 7, 2023 at 11:17 pm #268716No, Lincoln Road.
August 7, 2023 at 11:24 pm #268717My prediction for this game is Scunthorpe 2 Peter’bro Sports 1
Gate 3,016August 8, 2023 at 3:13 am #268721sorry to veer off topic briefly with a hint of negativity but i did notice our some what creditable results in pre season against FL opposition maybe be put into prospective with Hull Donny and Burton all loosing on the opening day.. also both members of last seasons 100 point club comprehensively brought down to L2 earth.
Back to this coming Saturday.. dare i say , surely Scunny cant play any worse than they did at Tamworth… still mulling over my prediction , i take it no injuries from last Saturday ?

Hasnt the 2000 restriction rumour been put back in the pantry AA ??
23 traveling PS fans represents 13% of their home fan attendance against Scarboro ..
Be lucky to get 3000 at GP this Saturday … numerous reasons best read on the SUFG page.
August 9, 2023 at 10:13 am #268818I rarely predict.
I predict us getting a clean sheet.August 9, 2023 at 12:30 pm #268825I think we’ll win 3-1. Wilson, scales and Elliot to score.
