Who do you want??
I’ll throw a name in (if we can’t get Adkins back)…..
Craig Elliot formally of Boston United, he worked with a part time team and he performed well above expectations and his recruitment is excellent.
Definitely destined for success at this level IMOAugust 16, 2022 at 10:39 pm #242758New owners first please!

August 16, 2022 at 10:53 pm #242759…and how long will a new manager last until some fans want him gone? The Prawn must go first, that is and always will be the main cancer within the club.

August 16, 2022 at 11:20 pm #242763Lets be honest. The Manager at my local Asda could do better than Keef. How long do you let the cancer get hold before you cut it out.
August 17, 2022 at 8:01 am #242780Just waiting for BlunderBalls to tell me who the next manager should be, plug him like hell to get him appointed and then disappear for months cos he is another complete PLUM.

August 17, 2022 at 1:37 pm #242824Yes absolutely Prawn must go before we begin to rebuild properly yet some still bang on about changing manager, need a change, need this need that. If Hill can get the extra four experienced players in we are short of squad wise and we can keep them reasonably fit then I believe we will be ok but getting some stability is going to take time and we won’t achieve anything like we need permanently till new owners come in. That’s not Hills fault.

August 17, 2022 at 4:41 pm #242832Yes it is Hills fault.
He knew when he came in what he had to work with. He was shocking last season.
He knew that this year he wasn’t going to get very much cash. He hasn’t done much business early. To date, we have not seen a great improvement- in fa t, very little..
Swann wasn’t selling up when Hill joined, but he must be gone when Swann leaves. If Swann doesn’t sell up then Hill should go anyway.

August 17, 2022 at 8:52 pm #242854I was a big advocate of Hill to be brought in back in November. Can’t believe things have transpired .
Still don’t believe sacking him will achieve anything though at this stage in fact it will probably have the opposite effect because the pot is empty.
6/8 more games for me. If he can’t get a tune out of ‘his’ team then time to go.

August 17, 2022 at 10:16 pm #242862Wait 20 games after the squad is complete before you start your whining about the manager but Prawn must go NOW.

Go and agree a deal with Craig Elliot now!!
He’s free and I’m convinced he’d stabilise us in this league!Hill is an absolute mess

I don’t think the team has the luxury of 20 games. For me 10 at most. Today we are 4th bottom – it has been shown that Mr Hill struggles to get teams moving upwards once the danger zone looms.
He should not be here anyway after the shocking surrender of our league place. The person in charge should have been someone who knows this type of league.
But yet again the issue is the EGO !!
August 21, 2022 at 9:41 am #243146Wait till the manager has all the players he wants, then sack him and let the new manager pick up the pieces with players he doesn’t want or know…then repeat. It’s the Scunthorpe way. You know it makes sense.

I’m sure Lee T will take your advice based on your track record in football management.
August 21, 2022 at 1:04 pm #243175Craig Elliott is a excellent manager with a proactive, Possessional Football approach.
I doubt he would agree a deal with Scunthorpe United under the current ownership situation though.1 user thanked author for this post.

Some say you are Awaywego yet your still allowed on here. Can’t beat a democratic football forum. 😂
August 21, 2022 at 3:51 pm #243201Could have gone along with that but my family aren’t from Scunthorpe are yours Ironawe? Said before when the tv crews come to town most of the interviewees could have got a part in the film Deliverance.

Deadly serious. That’s how desperate it appears now. He wouldn’t stand for this lethargy / lack of desire from some of the players. He’d scare them in to action by staring them out. Got a feeling the players don’t respect Hill. Can’t vbe any worse can it?

August 21, 2022 at 5:01 pm #243214To be brutally honest there were about 1500 people in the crowd yesterday who could see how the game was going at 3-2 and would be a better manger than Hill – not saying this is the answer but surely they couldn’t do a worse job?
August 21, 2022 at 5:15 pm #243215Evidence they would be better, I’m generally interested in your criteria on this one
