Dad had one when I started driving – used to fill it up for a quid.

We’ve needed a player to hold the ball up front in all 28 games and never looked like having one.
Those are the guys who create for others, make defenders worried and set up the chances.
The worry is that a number of players in our squad have never seen this phenomenon before. They need to be taught what it entails and to start getting used to this – and bloomin’ quickly!

It would be good to see opposition centre backs not playing in slippers and with a cigar on for a change.

Slippers, cigars and filling up for a quid. Sounds like heaven.

My second car was a Hillman Minx circa 1965. Great motor with a 1725cc engine, went really well, ah old car nostalgia, we all love it really.

Used to borrow my old mans Minx when I first passed my test. Turning circle was nearly as wide as Kenyon’s.

When my father-in-law died in 1982, I inherited a two tone green, 1725cc Super Minx.
Really couldn’t afford to run a second car – had to let it go two years later with a heavy heart. It was a bit on the thirsty side!

It would be a good age when you inherited it les, nice motor though. Most older cars liked a drink but they were fun to drive at the time.

Er. 1967 model if memory serves, and a dazzling 17,000 on the clock. Immaculate.

My dad had a Minx when we lived in West Butterwick back in 76. Light blue convertible. Lovely old girl she was.
