February 1, 2023 at 7:13 pm #254729A prediction for tomorrow:-
Some will be overwhelmed, some will be underwhelmed and some will not be whelmed one way or the other.
Here’s hoping!! UTI.
As somebody said earlier, if the signings are all from NLN we could be in trouble, let’s hope there’s some proven quality in there and it’s not all “potential”.2 users thanked author for this post.
February 1, 2023 at 7:17 pm #254730The last 2 from Forest worked out well.
Yates was awesome and there was a young full back who was decent – can’t remember the lads name (Gabriel?)

That’s the lad who I was thinking of, would be a massive signing if it happened.

That young full back flew down the wing like an angel as I recall.

February 1, 2023 at 8:56 pm #254739Do you think you will have ever heard of any of these players
February 1, 2023 at 10:43 pm #254741It’s a fair bet a lot of Iron fans will be spending quite a bit of time on Google tomorrow Mick.

February 2, 2023 at 8:26 am #254752Up early, Rene? – Welcome to my world.
February 2, 2023 at 9:18 am #254755Promising start? Billy Fewster:-
“One thing that was strikingly obvious in Fewster’s performance yesterday is that he’s very similar to first-team star Ryan Yates. If you’d squinted at the laptop whilst watching the game on YouTube, you’d have been forgiven for thinking it was actually Yates strutting his stuff in midfield. Aside from his running style being akin to Yates, his overall play in the middle of the park was very similar too.”I hope so!!

February 2, 2023 at 9:26 am #254757If that’s accurate then it’s the perfect start. Exactly what’s needed.

Guessing he’s not the quickest around the pitch?
19 years old, 1 sub appearance the other week in the EFL Cup.
Big drop – Prem (U19s) to bottom of the NL.
Good luck to the lad.
I’d rather develop & expose our own to gain experience than develop non club players for other clubs to prosper.February 2, 2023 at 10:13 am #254766Ferris now, isn’t this fun, Like being at a restaurant and having a 7 course taster meal.

February 2, 2023 at 10:21 am #254769One formidable problem.
What about the guys in the side who have been playing really well?
Are they to be dropped?1 user thanked author for this post.
February 2, 2023 at 10:30 am #254770@Lesgeo – after the last 3 seasons this is a good problem to have!

February 2, 2023 at 10:31 am #254771Maybe not a ‘nailed on’ starter in the first 2 les? If DFS was P/T he surely won’t be ready to start for a few weeks. Could be a last 20 minutes game changer though.

February 2, 2023 at 10:39 am #254772I see Dion Sembie-Ferris as the new Cleveland Taylor.

I hope you’re right, would be preferable to the next Devarn Green.

February 2, 2023 at 10:50 am #254776DG had awesome pace but seldom attempted to use it. Cleveland had awesome pace and did use it.

February 2, 2023 at 11:10 am #254778Well we’ve got a forward from Barnet, but unfortunately not Kabamba!
February 2, 2023 at 11:10 am #254779Hmmm…. a player Barnet have let go after 6 months and who has played all his career down south (so it’s not like he’s leaving Barnet to be closer to home). Good luck to him, hopefully he’ll do well but it’s not the most exciting signing. Still, least it adds to the depth of the squad which is desperately needed.
February 2, 2023 at 11:26 am #254782Very poor scoring record, but lets not judge him till we have seen him.
February 2, 2023 at 11:49 am #254783Barnet fans seem to think he was a good player for them and is u unfortunate not to be in the side, it seems he has been a victim of the team conceding too many goals early in the season. Might turn out to be a cracking signing.

February 2, 2023 at 12:06 pm #254784A new fave for Irish Iron in the making?
February 2, 2023 at 12:08 pm #254785Well the next ones a big one hope the others can feed off him. 6’5″

February 2, 2023 at 12:09 pm #254786That’s a big and nasty signed… Hope he’s got Torpeys elbow as well as his influence

February 2, 2023 at 12:18 pm #254788All so far seems very positive, yes they will take a little while to bed in but at least they are coming into a club that appears to be turning it’s form round. Some cameos off the bench may surprise us all, let’s hope so, no mention of length of contract yet for the three permanent signings, which should be addressed IMO.
