Welcome Ollie Rose.
January 17, 2025 at 2:51 pm #297262Be gentle with him.
He turns 19 in March.
It seems his preferred position is CB.January 17, 2025 at 2:53 pm #297264If he’s good enough he’s old enough, I think he’ll be good for us
January 17, 2025 at 3:27 pm #297266Hope you’re not giving him one of your names Rene (i.e. ‘Folly’)
January 17, 2025 at 3:39 pm #297268Welcome Ollie Rose.
Let’s hope he blooms early for us.

January 17, 2025 at 5:19 pm #297274Hopefully he’s better than James Dornelly who’s had a couple of horrendous games in L1
January 17, 2025 at 5:27 pm #297275No, no names for him. He’s a young lad who needs looking after. Peterborough have a good academy and hopefully he does well with us and we further his learning & development.
January 17, 2025 at 6:05 pm #297277Can’t say I’m too impressed with any of today’s business TBH, the players coming in lack experience and Brogan going the other way on loan, well I don’t think he’s had a fair crack at it here yet IMO. Fishburn to Gainsborough is sensible because it gives him game time and that’s what he needs.

January 17, 2025 at 6:13 pm #297278It’s pretty clear from this that money is tight and we’re having to shuffle the deck and still balance the books.Years of mismanagement won’t be undone in just one year.Butler out!
January 17, 2025 at 6:40 pm #297279Wheres your proof money is still tight did we not pay a fee for Beck.
Though if they sack Butler that would free some more money up, whoops I forgot some silly bugger gave him an extended contract that’d need paying.
January 17, 2025 at 7:01 pm #297281I’d rather we’d kept Fishburn instead of Beck.
Brogan going out is a bit strange, always been impressed with him when I’ve seen him.
January 17, 2025 at 7:02 pm #297282Mainly because we’re told it is tight by the club .The deck shuffling makes it clear to me .If money is tight and we tried to solve a problem by dipping into funds for Beck that would make it tighter now surely? There’s no bottomless pit .Take a sliced out of a cake and there’s less cake left.
January 17, 2025 at 8:14 pm #297283Maybe get the new catering manager to bake a bigger cake, as if we haven’t got the biggest one already.
January 17, 2025 at 8:52 pm #297284Wheres your proof money is still tight did we not pay a fee for Beck.
64 reading between the lines. Butler said there’s another two coming in. One sounds like he’s a trialist who’s impressed.
January 17, 2025 at 9:35 pm #297287Pleased to have some cover for Barrows finally, not sure the winger signing makes much sense but as always, wish him luck.
Our recruitment policy as a whole has been truly terrible for a good few years, do believe it’s a must we fill the head of recruitment position as even under the new ownership things seemingly have not improved.
2 summer signings outgoing on loan to a Lower division illustrates the point.

January 18, 2025 at 12:19 am #297294Get rid of the work experience kid Matt Roberts and bring in a decent head of recruitment

January 18, 2025 at 10:57 am #297304Butler is yet to sign a player that has improved the team, hopefully these two new fellas are better than the rest of his captures.

January 18, 2025 at 11:09 am #297305My worry is they’re both lacking experience in senior football.

January 18, 2025 at 11:30 am #297306But a poor league
January 18, 2025 at 11:30 am #297307The Fadera winger chap went on loan to Farsley in December and didn’t play a single minute. Injured or crap?

January 18, 2025 at 11:43 am #297308Been there before with a Farsley loanee haven’t we?
January 18, 2025 at 1:00 pm #297309Let’s hope they are a significant improvement on what has been brought in so far by AB.
January 18, 2025 at 1:07 pm #297310Seems like we’re back to bin dipping again after blowing the last of the budget on Beck.
Probably too much expectation on Brogan from the start, with some dreamers labelling him as a replacement for Butterfield, BUT he did show flashes of quality and was one of the more creative of the summer signings so no surprise that he doesn’t fit into Butlers hoof and hope setups.
The recruitment this season is the worst I can recall.
3 strikers signed, one loaned out (twice) and the other 2 yet to register a single goal between them – unbelievable.
3 midfielders, one made of glass and the other two have failed to get regular starts and subsequently one shipped out on loan.
A defender who, for the promise he showed in the first fistful of games, has made some howlers that would embarrass a pub player on a Sunday morning kick about and now can’t make the team.
Now we’re coming to the crunch point of the season where a strong character with some experience of what it takes to get out of this league wouldn’t go amiss, so we bring in two 18 year olds who’ve not registered a single senior start between them.
A recruitment specialist has to be a priority, but better still would be a decent manager who has an eye for a player and can do his own recruiting.

January 18, 2025 at 1:52 pm #297313You would think in the modern game you could hire a scout/statto/player recruitment type on a part time basis.

January 18, 2025 at 2:07 pm #297314Could get away with a 3 day week. Watching Tues/Sat and a day to report in?
January 18, 2025 at 2:21 pm #297315Williams missing again in squad line up. Not in the 5 named subs

Played well when he came on.

January 19, 2025 at 8:47 am #297383Let’s support these guys.
January 19, 2025 at 9:49 am #297388Yeah, I thought they made a good start yesterday. Which is surprising as numerous supporters crow about Butler not making one good signing.
