I see the OWS shows we currently have 2 forwards in the first team squad. Nuttal is one and I get that. Cribb is the other. Thought he was a midfielder but probably not room in that slot with our other 11 midfielders listed.

Might not be totally accurate as is also says Cribb was born is 1901.

Realistically we are still 3 strikers short. If we are playing 1 up too then 2.

Nuttall seems to have gained some mythical status over the summer where he is going to bang 10 goals plus for us. Will be a struggle in my eyes.

I genuinely think Nuttall will get into double figures this season – key for a lot of our players is getting a bit of confidence which will come with some decent performances, and something we were hugely lacking over the last couple of seasons.

We certainly need more upfront though, at the very least someone for Nuttall to play off. Also doesn’t hurt to have a bit of cover.

Nuttall spent most of Saturdays friendly against Peterborough in the channel he won’t reach single figures out there let alone double.

10 goals is not much of a stretch target but I guess it’s something after last week. Will need plenty of other contributions if our main striker only gets 10.

I am hoping we are pleasantly surprised with Nuttal this season. Even if he exceeds expectations one striker is 3 strikers short of a squad.

I wonder whether we blew the rest of the budget we had on Butterfield and are waiting on the takeover to go through before drafting in any more players ?

Either Keef is waiting for a couple of ex Rochdale, Tranmere, Bolton or Barnsley strikers to not get the better offers they are hoping for or it’s another couple of Scrimshaw/Burns wannabe’s in on loan.

We could do with someone like Diego Raymond De Girolamo of Buxton.
He notched 20 goals in the Northern Premier last season.
He’ll be playing in the NLN this season.

Or someone of his ilk.

We need to take a gamble on a couple of strikers from a couple or three divisions below us who have being banging in 20 to 30 goals.

I see that Kevan Kahoussi we had on trial has gone as well. We surely can’t go into this season 5 players short, surely ?

I can’t believe that Hill thinks going into this season with 1 recognized striker is in any way acceptable.

I wonder if this take over is stopping the club doing any business until it’s ratified ?
