Get over yourselves. I know it wasn’t Neil’s fault as his hands “and lips were tied” but he wasn’t doing the job he was elected for so he’s resigned. I agree with his decision.
There’s no point in even having one while Swann is here. Instead of slagging people off who have given Mr Wright a hard time you should condemn Swann for putting him in that position.
The club hung him out to dry. I’m not surprised people are frustrated with the current state of the club, it’s just unfortunate for Neil that he was put directly into the firing line with his mouth taped up via NDA’s.
Awaywego and fans 64 should be airing their disappointed at Swann and Co for doing the dirty on him. They’re the real one’s to blame.
He deserves abuse because someone else hung him out to dry?
What a guy you are.
As for criticising Swann,I have solicities letters to back my creds up there.January 4, 2023 at 10:09 pm #251963Did fans know at the time that his hands, lips and everything else were tied due to Non Disclosure Agreements ?. Nobody has said he deserved the abuse, I’m merely pointing out that you should direct your disappointment Swann’s way.
Who’s to blame, disgruntled fans or Swann and co who hung him out to dry by appointing him in a position to communicate to the fans to then duct tape his mouth together with NDA’s ?

January 4, 2023 at 10:33 pm #251964I’m not accepting your excuse for abusing a decent person,Saying we should blame Swann for others actions is a cop out.I tend to not respond to your between the lines drivel but if you think that’s a good enough reason to let people off online abuse you seriously gave warped ideas.

January 5, 2023 at 1:24 am #251968Who said it was right for Wright to receive abuse ?. I’m not excusing it but to sit there blinkered and not accept the fact that people were annoyed after coming to terms with losing their club and having to contend with the fans representative not saying a word, really pissed certain people off.
Was it right ?. No it wasn’t, far from it !
If people actually knew the reason why he was so tight lipped, fans would have understood his position, would have backed off him for the most part and the bulk of the crap would have gone in Swannsters direction.
Fans didn’t know this though, did they ?
Aim it Swanns direction. To appoint a lifelong fan to such a position in times such as these and to essentially gag him is an absolute disgrace.
That’s the definition of putting somebody in an impossible position. This is the last I’m going to type about this as it’s the Swannster who’s to blame.
Why should we bicker between ourselves due to one completely useless owner who’s just about ran the club into the floor ?

I can criticise Swann and despise those people abusing a decent honest, guy, there is no either or here ,there is no free pass as you would like to absolve yourself .
I now will once again stop responding to your fantasy land nonsense as it’s served me well in the pastJanuary 5, 2023 at 9:25 am #251981Surely the best time to have a fan director is when shite is happening, a man on the inside to challenge and put the fans case forward all of which I expect Neil did but working within his role that was allowed, guess you fit into the arsehole bracket WG.
January 5, 2023 at 9:32 am #251984Put your name forward AWG.
January 5, 2023 at 12:29 pm #252002Non of the associations know me CMC and am sure that would be a prerequisite plus not many (if any) share my views lol, they did know Neil and all spoke highly of him. I do hope Swanny takes away the invite now it was never going to work, but if there’s still the invite trust chair Tony Gosling would make a good fist of it, proper old school shop steward (brother this brother that) and councilor, and a very good speaker normally took the room with him. Thanks for the suggestion though.
January 5, 2023 at 12:52 pm #252005There’s a lot of hysteria being whipped up at the minute- especially on Twitter. People winding each other up and baying for blood.
I saw some of the abuse Wright was receiving and it was unjustified, no matter how you try and narrate it.
Same goes for Turnbull aswell; Good people trying to do impossible jobs.

January 5, 2023 at 1:05 pm #252008The difference is Turnbull took the king’s shilling and told us lies about the wage situation, man for the fans then moves the Barnet game to give them useless ***** more time to recover before losing to Eastleigh, they could have lost just as easily without that extra day. From what I’ve seen all mouth no trousers. Quite willing to be shown otherwise.
January 5, 2023 at 1:08 pm #252009Simon & Neil both resigning can’t be a coincidence. Unable to do the job to their own satisfaction? Lee might feel the same but he’s getting paid. Who’s on the board now?
January 5, 2023 at 1:36 pm #252010At that then it would appear that Swanny was(is)far better at doing his job then they were at theirs, can’t understand why people don’t give him more credit.
January 5, 2023 at 1:59 pm #252011We’ll give Swann more credit alright. He deserves all the credit for wrecking our beloved Football Club Scunthorpe United and leading all true fans to the depths of despair. If there is any justice our Club will be sold to new buyers and Swann will be wrecked himself.
January 5, 2023 at 2:51 pm #252013‘can’t understand why people don’t give him more credit.’
I trust this is sarcasm, awaywego?

January 5, 2023 at 4:12 pm #252024Lol, possible accusations of addiction insensitivity incoming.
January 5, 2023 at 4:54 pm #252028Nothings changed at the Club Board level now Neil resigned.
Swann owns and runs the Club through Lee Turnbull who is employed by Mr Swann.
Lee will not resign as he would be out of work and lose any pay off he would get when the Club goes bust !January 5, 2023 at 5:51 pm #252035Has Lee told you that? Do you have evidence to support your claim?
January 5, 2023 at 8:05 pm #252041Lee will not resign as he would be out of work and lose any pay off he would get when the Club goes bust !
It’s bullshit like this I’m on about.
January 6, 2023 at 3:11 am #252048dunno what sort of salary LT is on …but it aint enough to have to deal direct with Swan the snake on a regular basis…as most realize LT was only installed in the position to be Swans mouth piece so obviously he LT has to be wary what he can and cant say therefore batting for both sides (not in a homosexual way)… or running with the foxes and the hounds , fans being the fox trying to find out wtf is going on whilst Swan is a dog !!

It’s a little known fact that company directors can claim redundancy pay when their business is liquidated, if they meet the eligibility criteria. The payments are also made from the National Insurance Fund, via the Redundancy Payment Service.
Directors must be regarded as employees of the company to be eligible, and have received a regular salary under PAYE rather than only dividend payments.”
– UK Liquidators.January 6, 2023 at 8:54 am #252051Bullshit is it.
You need to read up on statutory redundancy payments for employees of companies.
As far as I am aware he is an employee like the rest of the staff.January 6, 2023 at 9:33 am #252052You think Turnbull took the Job on for a chance of a 6 month redundancy pay out?
January 6, 2023 at 10:00 am #252053As Ironlion82 states read up on statutory redundancy pay.
On the first page of the government site it clearly states you have been employed for over 2 years to qualify.
Lee Turnbull has not been. Non story alarmist bullshit.

January 6, 2023 at 12:14 pm #252062Could posters have some respect for Lee’s and other employees situation and refrain from posting more stuff about redundancy and liquidation maybe? I’m sure they’ve enough on their plate already.

January 6, 2023 at 12:39 pm #252067I thought MK made it clear Lee is not entitled to redundancy, and as for liquidation and administration the cats been out of the bag for over a year now, the talk of the steelworks is how many will be made redundant when the big announcement comes on the 20th gloom and doom gloom and doom never ending story on the steelworks though there haven’t been many hard redundancys.
