What is he actually doing in his role as fan elected director?

Look up “fan director role” all will be relieved. He does go to games as well why not stop him and ask him.

I do wonder too what he actually does as there doesnt now seem to be any liason with him and our fans. Does he sit in the directors box and go in the boardroom on matchdays or does he sit znd mix with our supporters. Can anyone tell me?

He was the one who pissed in the goalies drink bottle Deerey. In answer to NLI both, and even goes in the Donny road end normally at half time.

Neils become a part of the problem.
He is now more of a Director than a Fan !
He has no real communication with the fans and a lot of the fans had no idea how he was elected but that was not his fault.
His communication skills are not great a quick dash out the Directors Room pre match and at half time hardly covers this.
Why has nt he set up some Forums which the Fans can go and meet him and ask questions etc ?
The Fans waited a long time to get representation on the Board so how about some regular Fans Meetings Neil after all you are on the Board representing the Fans not Neil Wright !

I blame Swanny he was the one who let us have a fan director in the first place, then Scunny fans go and f it up by appointing Neil, why oh why did Swanny do that to us.

Just by being on the board he is representing us, on the one issue I put to him he tried but was not successful, but i agree a social media newsletter wouldn’t go amiss on what he’s raised. Thankless job but he knew that before taking it, doesn’t need to go into a shell when people ask hard questions just answer them even if we don’t like the reply we get.

Pele, Neil got some terrible abuse on Twitter for things that were not his responsibility, he can’t sack employees, he is only a reresentitive, also the same as Lee Turnbull he can’t disclose information out of the Boardroom that is supposed to stay in the Boardroom, last I heard about Neil he had the Covid and wasn’t well, but he came off Twitter because it was upsetting his wife who isn’t well herself and I think SST will back me up with these comments, I made a comment to someone on Twitter over something which was widely known and mentioned Simon Elliott who told me himself, but there was something I didn’t know about and Simon sent me and SST a DM if I could remove that post which he said could upset their negotiations into trying to buy the club, I did remove it straight away but if Simon told me he was involved I wouldn’t have mentioned him, though it was common knowledge and didn’t look offensive, but gathered that our owner isn’t easy to deal with, so I do believe Neil is available by Facebook site.

Don’t understand why supporters on Twitter get so irate about not being updated on a potential takeover every few weeks and then turn their ire towards Turnbull and Wright. Most of the time nothing will be happening and anything that does will be commercially sensitive, more so when Swann is involved.

Unfortunately we probably won’t hear anything until a deal is done, or collapsed.

The whole problem with the Fans Director is that there was no proper lines of communication set up from day one and also rather than quick ad hoc meetings with Fans at games why are not regular face to face meetings held with Fans for any updates and also Fans views put across.
From day one the Fans Director position has been a P.R / Communications disaster.

On this Forum and through other sites and Supporters Organisations in the past it was a complaint that Mr Swann did not regularly hold meetings with Supporters in the form of the Forums which I believe are required by the EFL to happen.
After years of trying , mainly by the Trust we now have a Fans Director.
I appreciate that there are lots of items that he cannot comment on due non disclosure agreements but surely one of the first positive things he could have done was to make sure these meetings are held.
What have we had , one coffee morning which was only for Lee Turnbull to try and flog Season tickets , at a time when a lot of fans were at work , college etc. It was said at that meeting that there would be other meetings etc so others could attend and to my knowledge there has not been one !
Social media is not as good as a properly chaired face to face Forum.
I m afraid it seems that Neil seems to have fallen straight into line with Mr Turnbull who himself from being all over social media when trying to sell Season tickets for his boss Mr Swann seems to have totally disappeared !
Have things for the fans really improved since we got a Fans Director ?

And as for the state of the ground. When your house is up for sale do you bother fitting a new stair carpet?

Nothing at all has improved for our supporters or for our club since we have a fans director. This is my opinion. The only person who things have improved for is Neil Wright, who can now sit in the directors box, free dinner before the match,and go in the directors lounge for free drinks before and after the match. This is also my opinion. I ask who has benefited?
