On RH says he is helping people to put a bid together and they have already spoken to Swann

Dead in the water from what I’ve heard; that’s both bids.

    Don’t know Mick.

I’ve heard of a few bids put together during the last months, everything seems to be collapsing though.

Realistically, who is going to pay 6million for the ground/land/club… that’s just for the takeover and then you’re going to need another million or so to invest in the team and keep the club running. Allegedly, despite what Swann has said about the club being sustainable now, we are losing money again. More money to keep us going.

In my opinion for what’s it’s worth:
I honestly can’t see a route out of this now other than liquidation. We will stagnate in the NLN next year and crowds will drop too well below 1500. At this point you will probably get a divide in supporters with some sticking by the original club, and others wanting to restart. I can’t imagine there will be enough organisation for a phoneix unless the trust/Elliot etc became involved.

Allegedly we are losing money again now despite Swann stating we were sustainable previously. How long will he continue plugging the gap until he’s had enough?

    Allegedly…alleged by Swann?
If so, I don’t believe him.

Why would Cox mention about the two local business men asking him for help in regards to putting a bid together if it’s already fell through ?

Going from what I’ve read/heard the original one “people who passed the FA test” has gone to shit. Makes sense though as that has took an eternity.

Swannster needs to crawl out of his bond themed hotel and start setting the fans straight as to what the hell is going on.

Why would you lose money though as he says it’s ‘basics economics’ but you are already getting more than enough through the gates to sustain NL surely its top half in the attendance league so his economics must be off

Ollie Turner doing his job and doing what the Fans asked him to do, Fair Play. And Coxy for going back to try and help the club out.

A manager sacked ten months ago desperate to help?

Reckon that’s a pretty good indication of where this club is under the present ownership.

Neil is a local lad who was and still is a fan before he was a player and then manager. I believe the club still means as much to him as it does to the rest of us, give the guy a break he’s on our side IMO.

Don’t read anyone dissing Cox IA.

Just posters sceptical as to whether any bid in any shape or form will be acceptable to the Pawn.

No disrespect intended towards Cox- the deal could well be on the cards, but looking at it logically- and from what I’ve heard- Swann is not willing to accept their bid.

Can Neil help orchestrate a consortium of folk to invest at least £6million to buy the full lot, and complete negotiations with an incompetent narcissist? – I remain highly doubtful.

The other, maybe more realistic scenario is the purchase of the club itself which surely can’t be worth more than £1million. We are then left as tenants – probably in the NLN- with dwindling crowds as the majority will still remain away whilst Swann has his paws on the assets. Will a consortium be willing to buy the club with no real tangible assets?

I guess any proposed bid, swanns company will be obliged to look into it,therefore putting back any deal that could be imminent

Takeover bid collapsed with the group whom an offer was accepted in July. No proof of funds allegedly.

Nothing from Swann on the group whom Cox was apparently helping out.

Apparently there are a couple of groups still lurking around.

In short- we are heading towards admin.

Cliff did you hear that from Swanny, as nobody at the club has any idea who Swann was talking to in the first place. I and from what i have read lots of others on here believe it was a completely made up story and there never was any bid to accept in the first place.
If its a true story then why doesn’t swanny come out and name and shame them for wasting his time. Unfortunately he can’t do that as it was a figment of his imagination in the first place!

The thing which I find strange is that the first prospective buyer lodges a bid which was accepted, which results in him going and passing the proper and fit persons test at the FA.

Proof of funding would surely have been provided before even going that far down the line with them ?

I find it all a bit hard to believe.

Rumours flying around that end of this month Swann is pulling funding, so if they have any truth to them we’ll be in administration before long.

If we don’t go under and Swann doesn’t keep the land he signed over to himself, I’ll be the most surprised man on earth.

I do hope so Cliff admin would bring things to an head, take the 12point penalty and have done with it, said buyers lurking around can then deal with the administrator and get the club for less than Swann wants and could get if he sells, Daws can play his kids team and get them ready for Nln should have well gelled by next season. Happy days all round and an end to all this admin liquidation talk. Amen.

Does Swann seruously think fans believe him. Buying a house – proof of funds needed before acceptance. Forking out millions for a football club with specific rules around fit and proper – nah don’t need proof of funds mate

Does anybody believe a word he says?

Only problem is if the club go into administration, Swann still keeps the ground and land so we would still have to pay him to rent it from him, also will have to buy it from coolsilk if we were ever going to own it outright.

There are no good out comes to this, besides Swann selling us on. I can’t see that happening.

‘said buyers lurking around can then deal with the administrator and get the club for less than Swann wants’

Not so sure about that awaywego. Why would he have to sell for less, particularly the stadium?

Was a loan taken out by the club ?
If so where is the money ?
If a bid has been accepted and they have passed the fit and proper test, I doesn’t take this long to prove they have the finances ?
If cox is helping a consortium it must be
To reinstall him as manager. ?
Why has Mr swann refused to comment?
These are just some of the questions that need answering.
