Lets face facts Ernest has had the rug pulled from under him by the real boss Karin. Son Will has been sacked as chief recruitment officer (never actually watched anybody and worked his non-magic via a keyboard).
Ernest apparently has no business acumen ‘what so ever’ and is floundering on many fronts, the Iron will be the first of his indulgencies to fall by the wayside.

September 15, 2022 at 11:23 am #244963You cannot take it away from him, Peter Swann is really top class when he puts his mind to anything, it is difficult to see that anyone could have done a more complete job of ruining a business, he will join a handfull of owners that have taken a football club into ruination.
Although I am proud of my record of forcasting things, this is one of them, as for the past year I have stated many times on here (as Awaywego will probably confirm this), that Swann has been driving SUFC into admin or liquidation, I am really sorry to say that it is possibly only a matter of weeks or maybe days away from coming true.
What can be done to avoid the end of our little club is beyond me, Swann has guided us from being top of League One, to our present sorry state of being bottom of a non-league status, losing every week because of the poor standard of players and management, and the town of Scunthorpe will soon be joining Bury and Bradford PA etc who also lost their football clubs, fair play to the 2,000 supporters that have stuck with the club for the past 5 pathetic seasons, it was too much for myself to do so, even though some of my 70 years following the club were not all happy times, but none was so bad as these 5 years and counting (it was 70 years wasn’t it Awaywego ????, please confirm pal).
SO WELL DONE SWANN, NOW GET YOURSELF OFF TO BLACKPOOL AND TRYSAVING ANOTHER OF YOUR BUSINESSES, WHICH IS ALSO TIPPED TO BE FLOUNDERING UNDER YOUR CONTROL.

September 15, 2022 at 11:29 am #244964Maybe Baroness Brady fancies a new challenge, it would only be a one letter difference…
September 15, 2022 at 11:34 am #244966The solution is out there quite simple really, someone, anyone just to stump up the money and buy the club, we were told by alcy and others, buyers would be out there once the club was officially put up for sale, I do hope they are right, that as been my concern all along better the devil you know rather than nobody at all imo.
September 15, 2022 at 12:22 pm #244971I am sure there are buyers who would like to takeover the club but let us all remember we are getting just one version of events about the current non sale of our football club. Should we believe everything we read in the local press or hear from certain people’s mouths on local radio?, just an opinion of course but there are two sides to every story, we are only getting one so far.

September 15, 2022 at 1:26 pm #244975Will only get Mr EGO’s side. Non Disclosure Orders will have been signed – reason will be ‘For Commercially Sensitive Reasons’ !!
You bet it is sensitive !!

September 15, 2022 at 2:57 pm #244981To be far to Alcy when he was saying potential buyers would be out there, it was a long time ago when the club would have been a far better proposition than it is now the current owner has run it further in to the ground. He was saying it before Swann ‘wrote off the debt’ in return for the ground if memory serves.

September 15, 2022 at 4:05 pm #244987Excuses excuses Deerey, Do you honestly believe that if Swann hadn’t wrote off the £11 million debt someone would have been interesting in buying the club back then, would love to hear the other side of the story Ironawe nothing stopping the ones who agreed a price for the club and to tell us why they didn’t. Swann has stated they didn’t come up with the money so let’s hear from them. But of course they will be really nice genuine people who can’t tell because of a non disclosure agreement ya know something along them lines lol.
September 15, 2022 at 4:21 pm #244989He didn’t write the debt off – he took all the assets in recompense for the money he spent on his business. He had 8/9years playing football manager loving the limelight paying silly wages and employing 10 managers all of them sacked within their contract and took on a CEO on huge salary for what reason? The club still has a debt and included in that is the EFL loan. The real money in the family stopped his fun and now we’re on the brink

September 15, 2022 at 9:20 pm #245010It amazes me how many people on here know so much about Swann and his financial position. I don’t know where they get their info from, but it would be nice if they let us know so that we comfirm it for ourselves.
The longer this drags on the more stuff is being made up and repeated until it is believed.
Swann is not the only fantasist involved with the Club.
Let’s hope that he goes soon.
