January 17, 2024 at 10:36 am #279384To some it will, as they will be prevented from watching the top of the table clash of the titans.
Arsenal v Crystal Palace… no thanks.
January 17, 2024 at 12:14 pm #279386governed by Premier League rules not National League

Think I’ll watch a film.January 24, 2024 at 12:39 pm #279781Just in case anyone was wondering, National League TV will issue a refund if you purchased the game within 2 hours of kick off. I emailed them yesterday evening and got a refund today.

February 12, 2024 at 6:02 am #280904I’m off to warmer climes for a period this week.
My thinking is that my UK phone with my UK provider would prevent me from watching our games on NLTV?
I’m thinking that in order to watch the games, I may have to purchase a phone & SIM card of the country that I’m in?
Has anyone any experience of this?
Or, do we have any super-tech guys who know the answer?
I’ll check it out using my phone first – if that’s no good, I’ll just buy a local phone to watch the games.

February 12, 2024 at 6:47 am #280905I’ve emailed them (NLTV) in order to hopefully get a definitive answer.

An overseas wifi network will have an overseas IP address so that should be fine.
February 12, 2024 at 9:55 am #280914NLTV appears to be viewable worldwide so there should be no geolocation restrictions on the IP address that your phone picks up (so basically it should work on your phone as long as you have a good data signal or a wifi connection)
If you’re using mobile data then what IP address you pick up will depend on how your UK carrier has your data setup, some use local breakout so you will pick up an overseas IP, some use proxies back in the UK to pick up a UK IP address. Either way though you should be fine to use your phone without the need to buy a local one.
February 12, 2024 at 11:35 am #280922I think he’s talking about Saturday 3pm games which aren’t usually available in the UK.

Dur… how dumb of me – I’ll be able to access it using the Wi-Fi rather than my phone.
Slaps forehead… I’ll go and stand in the corner for a while!
Thanks for the help.February 12, 2024 at 11:39 am #280924I think he’s talking about Saturday 3pm games which aren’t usually available in the UK.
Great. I’ll just use the Wi-Fi rather than my phone service provider.

February 12, 2024 at 2:30 pm #280940Has anyone UK-based out there actually been able to watch any Saturday 3pm games, using a VPN / proxy server?
February 12, 2024 at 3:17 pm #280944My youngest son spends six weeks in America and then sux weeks at home on his shift system, and watches his team Derby every week, and for his time in the UK justs logs in as being in America so that he can watch all Saterdays games as well. So you can possibly do the same pal, but I would have thought that you would welcome a rest from Scunny matches the way that they are playing right now ha ha.
Enjoy your holiday.1 user thanked author for this post.
February 12, 2024 at 3:28 pm #280945I have watched Saturday away games using a vpn for years.
Works fine in efl and National League but National League North don’t stream Saturday games so not an option while we are in this league. They have recently dropped their commitment to stream all NLN midweek games and only stream a limited selection.
So far Iron’s midweek games have been selected and would imagine this will continue due to size of fan base.
If any needs help on choosing/using a vpn give me a shout. Beware most van’s don’t work for doing this.
February 12, 2024 at 3:29 pm #280946Only Sat 3.00 games for NL I think, not NLN or NLS.
