    You forgot young Master Cribb.

That’s the back ups sorted out. When do we start signing the first team?

Defence looks rock solid with Taftsy and Boycey flanked by Rowe and O’Malley. Backup for Rowe a priority.

Expecting big things from Shrimpt and Wilson in the middle of the park.

New strikers are badly needed. As the old adage goes, a team is only ever as good as its big striker.

Not sure where Wilson will fit if he gets in but surely Shrimpton is behind Beestin, Gallimore, Cribb & Moore-Billam in CM. Then when we sign the 2 new CMs, which we obviously will, he’ll be even further down the pecking order and unlikely to get a game.

Trialists added on the basis they will sign for 10 bob a week and their weeks trial as Amazon van drivers is unsuccessful.

On the basis they impress? Clutching at straws there adding them when you don’t know if they’ll be signed. Some serious gaps and lack of seasoned heads even if they do. State of the forward line! Needs bolstering big time.

Let’s not forget there are a dozen slots in the sick bay to fill. Probably 11 given Hallam’s block booking.

I assume typo or Freudian slip, NI, you put an ‘m’ on the front of the penultimate word.

Give it up until we actually sign some players with experience and hopefully some quality. If more than 6 of those start the first league game we’ve got no chance.

Your right Cass, some on here clinging to anything remotely positive like ‘can tie his own bootlaces’ meant we signed complete plums like O Neill, Perry and Bunn. Combined they contributed absolutely now’t. As their stats testify.

A second win of the season on Saturday and maybe, just maybe, we’ve turned a corner?

A second win on Saturday means we have won our first two league games with a lightweight squad that won’t see out the season without more additions and soon. Nothing more nothing less can be gleaned from winning the first two league games IMO.

Very good grey lag. As said above, two wins from two is a very good start but squad is paper thin in terms of back up. If we had the options we wouldn’t have lined up with Daniel as a left sided attacker, would we ?

I hope we get some more players in soon.

    Today’s SUFC odds:
    100/1 to finish as Champions.
    33/1 to be promoted.

Wrexham are still odds on favourites to be Champions.

I could perhaps understand Hill using Daniel as a left sided attacker. Not so sure why he played almost exclusively on the right against Solihull. Feeney who built his career as a right winger/ right sided forward was on the left.

I have nothing against wide forward spending 20 minutes or so on their “wrong” side to give defenders a different problem but spending 80 or 90 minutes on the wrong side seems a bit extreme.

Hill is the master tactician after all !

I’d rather he played Daniel at LB considering O’malley can’t defend and Nthle is held together with cellotape.

Isn’t that what you use for repairing medium sized string instruments rather than footballers?
