Cox said on radio Friday that quite a few clubs were chasing the striker but didn’t want to alert them , agent and club wanted it keeping quiet ,,, until after the game

So Northumbiron seems Smudger confirms what I said ! That he wasn’t British.

I know where Gravesend is. But this player could have dual nationality – neither of them british

    Just pulling your leg Sanfran!

Did we really need to sign Loft AND Jarvis? Their CVs sound very similar.

Particularly as there is one area still causing concern.

Jarvis is one for the U23’s surely? We signed him from Sutton United, who incidentally shipped him out on loan last season! Would be surprised if that’s the sort of quality we’re expecting to go into the first team.

Crikey, after a bit of research i have found that, this guy has only scored about 10 goals in his entire career, non of them at a decent level either. He’s 24 years old now, how is he even still in professional football.

Jarvis baffles me more so than Loft – 4 league goals in 52 appearances across the last three years, the vast majority of those appearances being at National League level or below! How have we seen any potential there!?

At least Loft has scored a professional league goal (Jarvis has a big fat zero in that department).

I said this before but a Luton fan said even though they didn’t see a lot of him said if we give him chances he’ll score at this level…he was pretty confident.

I know when Jarvis was at Luton he scored a few in cup football but just couldn’t get regular games due to how strong their front line was at the time.

Reading a few messages from Luton fans though, they rated him pretty highly when he was there..they thought he was a decent enough player.

This german fella is a little more dodgy on paper, scored 2 in 11 for Weston Super Mare but you never know, he could settle here and transform his career.

Put it this way, you want to be hoping some of these players come to the fore as we have a hell of a lot of unknown quantities.

As people keep saying “we need these turds to be polished up”.

BigLeftToe, if I was you I’d back all the players, even the one’s which are crap on paper. By all means if they’re dog mess after 10+ games, take pot shots but for the time being..just support them.

These questionable players are they one’s we’ll need to come good !

    Remember that

Certainly isn’t, surname does seem to indicate a link to 2 countries.
Did start to think dual nationality. Certainly a tall pair of strikers.

    So that’s: –

    KvV
    Fela
    Macca T
    Moonie
    Java
    Lofty
    Duran-Turan

Plus Hippolyte & Green who can play there.

Have we a) decided attack is the best form of defence given that the back line looks the weakest link? Or b) wangled a way around the salary cap?

Has anyone else got the same sinking feeling we had a few years ago when we signed a ridiculous number of defenders? Just this time with forwards? None of the signings will have got the other League Two sides worried, only us!

No, somebody has seen potential in these players, I just hope it’s the manager! None of them are prolific scorers but we only need one of them to come good. I agree we are over staffed upfront (and wide) so I think ‘outs’ are essential, just hope it’s not the top boys but hard to shift any of the others unless the SPL come calling.

The only “saleable” and fit players on our books are the 3 ex Shrews.

I would be dissapointed to lose Gillead, Eisa or McAtee. Probably just as well McGahey and KVV are injured.

Be suspicious if any of the aforementioned 3 are not in the team on Saturday.
