Ebenezer Musk
(With apologies to Charles Dickens.)

December 12, 2024 at 1:17 pm #295400The guy is a complete and utter one of them!
I’d call him a c#*t, but I won’t because he lacks both warmth and depth!
December 12, 2024 at 10:00 pm #295424Any thoughts on this JI? Interested in your thoughts given you seemed to be defending Musk on t’other side a day or two ago. Bpg too, I’d be interested in his views on this. Not very Christian is it? Or is it?
December 13, 2024 at 7:05 am #295427Just another rich daddy’s boy with enough cash to buy a voice .It’s sad really when you think he can and has done many brilliant things or at least facilitated them by being a good deal maker

Pardon me, Deerey …but where did I ‘defend Musk?’ All I remember was trying to fathom why NI would welcome Hilton back to the Club before investment from Musk. That doesn’t seem to me to be an unqualified defence of anyone.
On the wider point .. I found the article mixed. Definitely it portrays Musk as lacking empathy .. but then again that may not necessarily be a usual character trait for scientifically gifted, problem solving entrepreneurs. We’re not all gifted across a wide spectrum. I suspect that the tone of the article is also a reflection of the fact that he is currently in favour with ‘the Donald’ which, since I am apparently responsible to answer for everyone’s foibles as a resident Christian… May be the ‘unforgiveable sin’.December 13, 2024 at 5:15 pm #295452Yeah, sorry about misinterpreting what you actually posted JI. Genuinely forgot the detail – I blame age. In that context, maybe the lesser of the two evils to run the club.
It’s not so much him suggesting an alternative approach to tackling homelessness, more the undermining of agencies doing good admirable work to try and help. Perhaps if he invested some his significant wealth in their work it might help? Underfunding is a major issue as far as I’m aware from the evidence. However, that wouldn’t fit his and Donald’s explicit culture war agenda: their crusade against anything they see as the establishment or ‘Woke’. I have no doubts that Elon is busy thinkngbup new ways to make a decent Buck or million out of the homelessness crisis, hence him targeting workers and agencies who supposedly benefit from more homelessness. A very cynical and uncaring Christian if you ask me.

See my post above.
You really don’t do sarcasm do you? Rather have a Poundland Arthur Daley than Trump’s arse-licker in chief. He can take his billions and stick ‘em where the sun don’t shine as far as I’m concerned.

If you class yourself as a ‘cultural Christian’ you are not a Christian.
Only a “born again” Christian who declares with their mouth Jesus Christ is their Lord and Saviour is a Christian, but they must have received the undeserved gift of Regeneration before they have the ability to repent and have Faith.
Elon Musk and Trump lean more towards a Christian worldview, but are far from perfect.December 13, 2024 at 5:48 pm #295456Both Hilton and Musk have massive egos and I would have said that before Musk clung himself to Trump. After Swann and Hilton I am done with egos running the club, no matter their wealth. There’d be no guarantee it’d be a success. Musk has plenty of failures in his scattergun approaches, like Hyperloop, Zip2 and Solyndra.

Does that include grabbing women by their genitals?
December 13, 2024 at 6:36 pm #295459Apologies NI. I do occasionally do sarcasm but missed it on this occasion. As with Deerey ..maybe an age thing.
December 13, 2024 at 6:40 pm #295460ps Is Musk claiming to be a Christian? If so …then I guess I’m burdened with yet another imperfect so and so to defend and give credibility to. Glad Adolf’s gone ..theres only so much responsibility this here Christian can carry :)
December 13, 2024 at 7:07 pm #295461ps again. I’ve revisited your last post NI ..and am more confused than ever. So it wasn’t sarcasm? You really were advocating Hilton over Musk? All I initially asked for was clarification. Now you’ve explained….I think.
December 13, 2024 at 7:10 pm #295462Don’t worry JI, apparently God has deemed that Bill is his trusted servant on earth who will decide who is and isn’t a Christian. Sarcasm alert in case you missed it.
December 13, 2024 at 7:12 pm #295463At an Iron away game they should be easy to spot. It will be the few who aren’t bladdered and Fansy.
December 13, 2024 at 7:24 pm #295465I’m all over the place, Heath. Can’t tell what’s sarcasm and what’s not these days. Thanks for keeping my out of trouble.

FFS! I dislike Musk more than Hilton. Is that clear enough?
