Is anyone else irritated by the music ‘ we hate Hull ‘that appears about half a second after scoring a goal?. I feel it kills the natural elation of the goal. Do other clubs play music like that?. I can’t remember when it started being played and assume it won’t be stopped any time soon.

Clubs everywhere play music and it should be banned but won’t be.

I still have shudders down my spine when I hear “Glad All Over” because that’s what Blackpool used to play after goals. Every single one – and we’ve conceded plenty there down the years!

Even Bayern Munich play the Can Can when they score!

Maybe we should play Promised you a Miracle when we score.

It’s a symptom of the ‘decline’ of football, imho. Same thing happens at the cricket (some formats). It’s so irritating. Just let the moment of successful endeavour hang in the air and let people enjoy it for what it is, rather than trying to control the moment by manufacturing atmosphere.

All sport, incessant burps of unwanted music to constantly suppress any natural atmosphere.

“Incessant burps” – exactly. So annoying.

If it wasn’t a catchy tune most would ignore it and carry on celebrating the goal.

First thing for the new boss. change the music, get some of Mark Donaldson’s stuff on there.

Nothing during the game itself is the way forward. No excerpts after goals etc. Playing something as the team comes out or goes in is fine.

The Allams tried goal music just the once, it was met with a crescendo of booing, myself included, never to return again.

Can’t get an atmosphere to build if there’s endless music blasted over the PA though, can you? Not so much during the game but pre-match it’s hard to even talk to your mates over the noise of the PA.

The PA is not fit for purpose – can barely discern a word when there are announcements. Sonic mush.

Yes you really can the atmosphere is STILL there after the music goes off!
