Or perhaps we should ask why were they performing before Christmas but not now?
Hilton is what he is but his rant the other day was interesting. The con artist claims the players were told that they would be moving on due to pay cuts and he claimed they have their minds elsewhere and already have one foot out of the door.
I’d bank on that being one of the reasons for the slide and when you couple that with a manager that has no tactical nous, this happens.
March 7, 2024 at 8:56 am #282313I still think “reduced terms” here should be competitive enough to keep players at the level they’re likely to be playing next season. Apart from 1 or 2 the rest will attract NL or NLN at best. Those that are contracted for next season will surely have to have them honoured but there could, of course, be a non-promotion reduction built in. You’d think that should provide the motivation that clearly isn’t there.
This rumour regarding a promotion bonus being withdrawn could have substance?March 7, 2024 at 9:38 am #282334Top of the (Form – last 4 games) Table clash on Saturday:
Spennymoor (2nd) v Darlington (1st)
Last 6 games:
Spennymoor (1st) v Darlington (2nd)Darlington are 11/4 to win!
March 9, 2024 at 4:22 pm #282541Shrimpton scores and gets man of the match for Spennymoor as they beat Darlo 2-1…..
March 9, 2024 at 5:49 pm #282554Don’t want any of our players who are out of contract, I want players that give 100% every game not just when they feel like it.

March 10, 2024 at 9:34 am #282580You’re right Cass, he didn’t score (sorry, accidentally deleted your post). The tweet below made it look as though he scored the winner. Though he did assist one and was man of the match…

March 10, 2024 at 9:35 am #282581March 10, 2024 at 10:21 am #282583I watched Spennymoors YouTube highlights and Shrimpton scores their equaliser, assists for their second and gets a great last ditch tackle on Cornish.

March 10, 2024 at 7:36 pm #282607Pyrotechnics – Darlington have been bombing along recently but that could all go up in smoke if they are heavily fined, ordered to play behind closed doors or are deducted points:
