A repeat of last season would be nice!

Suspect they are stronger this time out though, as they stuffed Man Utd’s U21s this week.

Manny & McGahey at CB with Brown & Clarke/Rowe FB. Same MF and Loft plus Kev if fit. If not Hallam or McAttee if he can be bothered.

I’d look to move Hallam or McAtee on in January, with kev we have 3 no 10’s at the club. Hard choice to make though, Hallam I think has the most to offer but he’s injury prone.

    Move on Hallam?

He’s one of the few who looks like a footballer.

Move on mardy-arse McAttee. He thinks he’s too good for League 2 anyway.

It would be an easy decision if Hallam didn’t appear to be made of glass.

Luke Williams was a superb footballer. Sometimes that doesn’t matter.

If Hallam is fit and kev isn’t he plays over mcAtee for me.

Kev, Clarke and McGahey fit and I’ll be confident of 3 in a row.

Have just seen Songo’o plays for them. I thought he was one of the few who I would have kept from last season. It will be interesting to see how he goes if he plays.

Van Veen remains in the starting 11- hopefully not to the detriment of his long term fitness but good to see nevertheless.

Hopefully the squad is buoyed by the previous 2 results and we start try to stamp our authority on a game

Not a bad game and looked tired after two games away.

We would of taken the points we’ve got from the last three.
    Three points Tuesday fingers crossed!!

Just a note I will say this again our bench is poor.
    Need to shift a few.
When Green and Hippolyte came on we were two players down.

Disappointing to concede so late on but a draw was a fair result. We’d really been hanging on in the second half.

I was pleased to see the team working so hard and we did defend well despite one or two heart-in-mouth bad passes out from the back.

However we didn’t have much going forward and it was a bit disjointed between midfield and defence.

Very impressed with Beestin and the centre half pairing today. A few weeks ago the side would have folded up against such a big physical opponent. We really matched them for desire today when the players must have been feeling tired after a hectic round of fixtures.

Looking forward to the game on Tuesday now against a Bolton team that have blown hot and cold this season and are still working out a new identity under a new boss.

The core of the squad is decent. If our better players can stay fit then we’ll be fine. If not, the squad lacks depth and experience.

Didn’t feel such a kick in the teeth to concede late on when in reality we were fortunate to take anything from the game.

Defending was resolute again against a fairly decent morecambe side; however I was disappointed we didn’t do enough attacking wise, want to see Brown and Rowe supporting the wingers more often, the one time Rowe bombed forward we forced a save out of their keeper. Eisa is getting doubled marked every game now and needs support.

Unfortunate that Van Veen went off so early as he is the quality we need- Loft is what he is and needs someone to nod the ball down too and link up with. Playing Hallam in the ‘number 10’ role is a waste of a position. Get someone running in behind and force a centre back to defend facing his goal.

Positives are we have a committed, hard working team who finally look organised and clearly are playing for the manager. 7 points from 9 is a respectable return.

pleasing game, decent performance, a game we would have lost last month. we all would have taken 7/9 at 3pm last Sat
Good to see Rowe improving. Rest played as would expect.
Cox – best substitutions he’s made this season. Tried to impact positively not just invited pressure with more defenders. And changed the shape to get back in the game.

Positives is we defended well, unlucky for Howard the goal, disappointment was we only one effort on target and hardly attacked, and old habit of sitting deep when we where the home team, we certainly need to attack more and also you don’t score goals when you don’t shoot.

Green has pace to burn, but Hippolyte went missing for the goal, didn’t pick Mellor up allowed him to much room to get the cross, but overall a good point

We only had one defender (Bedeau) on the bench. So that was never going to happen!

Morecambe changed the game when they brought Stockton on and he bullied our centre backs. Would have been daylight robbery if we won the game but still sucks conceding so late!

For once, Hippolyte for Eisa was the right decision.
H is a much better defender. Okay – it didn’t work out but the effects of three games in a week on the rest of the team were clear to see.

As I said earlier Hippolyte went missing for the goal Mellor had so time and space to make the cross

Apart from when Green set up Rowe for the best chance we created all match?

Not sure that Green merits a bad press.

The bench is disappointing in my eyes and that’s why the Iron were in the pickle at the bottom of the table with these players on the pitch due to the four experienced players unavailable.

I’m not saying we can have Messi on the bench but it doesn’t butter my muffin on what’s on offer.

I think the late changes lost us 2 points, bringing fresh faces on didn’t help, and seeing we were hanging on maybe Bedeau would have been a better option, also we might have been better off if the ref had given them the corner which he had originally given seeing it came from Howard’s kick up field they eventually scored, but isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing.

I Agree MM. We only made the subs to waste some time.
For me they did no more than that.

I thought Hallam was unlucky to go off.

For Morecambe no disrespect to them but I thought they were a solid unit compared to other seasons. A decent striker and they’d be really dangerous.
