Well mick that will be the old chesnut of someone says they will come then their agent will find another club for them who wants to pay more, nothing new there but of course the owner nowadays does not put any money in so that will make a difference too.

Shame he got injured just as he was starting to to look useful, that’s the last two Scottish imports that have failed so think that should tell us something.
I think that’s every one of last summer’s signings now gone. Says a lot about last summer.

Let’s hope we sign some average players, they’ll be better than plenty of last seasons who can only dream of being average.

It sounds as though the financial side of deals offered may just possibly be working if there have been agreements to then be broken thereafter.
(Wasn’t it Tutte who gazumped us big-style some years ago?)
If – and I do mean if – it is gazumping – naturally, that’s not too good.
Worse though, is that players may be saying ‘yes’ and then spending 24 hours doing a bit of due diligence.What will they uncover when they spend half an hour researching on the net or phoning up folks they know in the game?
Ambition, great atmosphere, a club on the up-and-up, happy fans, promotion-seeking, optimism OR something else ?
Hill may have earned a good reputation amongst players but what is being said out there about the club itself?
Normally I’d say we must be a club “on the up”, as we can’t sink any lower.
But we all know we can.
