It’s just a collection of individuals, it doesn’t look like there are proper partnerships or shape. Got to be Dean’s top priority to resolve that because otherwise we’re going to fall short this season.

Seemed to work ok last two home games, guess we can’t win every time, what a surprise.

I take your point but we’ve not won an away game since August so there’s something not right there.

In the last two home games, we took the lead early and I think that makes a massive difference. Based on tonight’s showing, we look less than the sum of our parts.

Poor watch for all those fans that made the journey.
Seems to me the difference today was Fitz was obviously told to kick long all the time – dont recall us bringing it out from the back at all tonight. Missed out the midfield most of the time.
Plus Jimmy obviously told them not to press tonight – dont get why that should be against a mid table outfit.
For me 2 points lost. Even more dissapointing as Tamworth lost.

I hope you’re on a wind up. Come off the back of 12 goals and 6 points and now following one questionable performance you’re now questioning the whole midfield ?

This forum never ceases to amaze me !

One questionable performance? Was Chester away not questionable? 6 of those goals came against the club the guy on this video laments about 2:15mins in. What a state they’re in as a squad. Surely we need as many points as possible before we have to release more players, possibly the more better ones on the higher wages? Don’t see anything unreasonable in Ferrite’s post. You need a reality check WG. Still 4 points behind Tamworth, even though they lost. Away form has to improve for HMS Piss the League.

Only as good as your last performance, they can’t spend the rest of the season remembering how good they were against Spennymoor and BS. Aren’t fans allowed to be disappointed?

Fans are completely entitled at being disappointed cass but also a sense of reality is required. We are two months from Xmas not two months from next May, a lot of football left to be played, we are doing ok IMO and it was never going to be a piss the league season, it very rarely happens.

If we want to challenge we have to find a way of winning away. The set up last night and the performances, generally, away from home have been unconvincing and we have to find a way of winning 6-8 away from home to give us a really good chance of automatic spot. Home form spot on but we have to supplement with some good away performances and the odd hard fought draw. The squad is far too good for this division so we should be able to pick up away from home with the right set up.

To be honest, I think the performance was more of a concern than the result. The lack of rhythm, an inability to impose our game on the match and the fact we never looked like scoring until their player was caught in possession are all concerns, given our overall away form. Hopefully we’ll see more steps in the right direction on Saturday.

Don’t forget our “spot on” home form included a 0-3 defeat to Buxton.

Our performances to date have been like a bag of Revels!

True although more than a few mitigating circumstances around that one!

I see people keep mentioning the points gap to Tamworth. If Spenny win their game in hand we’ll also be chasing them!

We haven’t won away since mid August, something isn’t quite right with our mindset away from home and needs addressing pronto.

‘and it was never going to be a piss the league season’. That can’t be right – WG is always bang on the money.

It would be nice to at least To see us try and win away from home. Cos we aren’t at the moment, and if by chance do take the lead don’t defend it so deep cost us again last night.

What you all going to do now then, support another team because we put in a bad performance ?

Look, the HMS piss the league was a bit of a tongue in cheek comment as even though in terms of ability, while I admit we’re above all the other teams doesn’t alone win you football matches.

Ironawe sums it up perfectly “Fans are completely entitled at being disappointed cass but also a sense of reality is required”

4 points off the top for crying out loud, Clunan wasn’t match fit coming off a bug, Law and smith won’t be fully match fit just yet. Max is back full training as is Roberts.

We will be better in the future I’m sure.

Was the performance bad, yes course it was but does we need to be completely torn up and rebuilt, no we don’t. People need to calm down and look at the bigger picture, we’re 4 points off the top with 2 more players coming back. Clunan, Law and Smith will all be fitter next game too.

I’m not expect everybody to put on their rose tinted spectacles and praise last night and the whole season but at the same time not be so dismissive and negative.

I will however clearly say we need to be better away from home but as it stands we’re currently 4 points from the top.

Second favourites (13/8) behind Tamworth (6/4) to piss the league now!

After the dross of last season, we should be proud of how our team have started this one. Who would not have taken 7 points and 13 goals in 3 games?

It’s hardly the end of the world imho.

It is not the end of the world but it’s not much fun to watch after spending 2 hours plus each way and a fair wadge of cash to attend.

Seen all league away matches so far this season and it hasn’t been enough to inspire me to travel to Blyth and Banbury for the next two.

Hopefully I am the jinx and we actually play a bit of football in those 2 games.

I’ll probably still suffer the RH commentary Saturday and the livestream on Tuesday.

Forgive my naivety, but has anyone worked out a way to watch the Saturday livestreams when based in the UK?

National League TV don’t do Saturday livestreams for NLN or NLS.

For those leagues they only do midweek fixtures and Saturday fixtures on international break weekends.

If and when we get back to the National League Saturday games are then available to “international” customers. This is a rule instigated by the Premier League but can be worked around using a VPN set to a foreign country. Used to do this in our EFL days and last season in the National League.

Considering you didnt like the promotion season under Wilcox WG what we’re watching away is far more torrid, its not pretty it’s not entertaining its dire, league position or not, and that’s all people are saying, tell the majority who walked away from boston last night its not that bad and you would in the main got abuse thrown at you.

Lol, no one has remotely said it’s the end of the world, that it needs ripping up and rebuilding, etc. Some of you lads need to get things in perspective, need a reality check, etc etc…or better still read and digest posts better.

Never have understood this changing formation and tactics for away games! If it’s good enough at home then its good enough away.
make teams worry about us yes we have trouble breaking sides down when they pack midfield and defence but wingers running at people will always cause problems so let’s start going for it away.
Also don’t like this loan striker give the striker some support especially Whitehall as he doesn’t like playing this role and you can almost say we are playing with 10 men when we play this way.
