Where are you getting ‘veering towards part time’ from? Not heard that.
Not heard it from anywhere, merely offering an opinion that if we have a sustained stay in this division (and that would be through performances on the pitch) then the only sustainable model would be part time (which I think Stockport did in their time in NLN). If that does happen then one or two senior roles would have to be given up or offered gratis by those who can offer such, and I’m talking about a potential 5+ year stay.
I offered the opinion that the Buxton game was the most important to turn in a performance with a string of fixtures coming up with teams in and around us – a statement performance could have set us up nicely to consolidate and keep the floating fans interested in what is generally a very poor footballing league. Sadly we are regressing at an alarming rate and we desperately need to bolster attacking options and midfield with loans if possible.November 10, 2024 at 1:57 pm #293605Of Course the fans will turn on the board Michelle gave Butler the job but the board backed giving him an extended contract , it’s all about trust well it is supposedly with most of you, lose the trust you lose the fans,
She saved the club has being and gone now, and people will and aren’t going to turn up forever with anyone projecting that mantra, in fact it’s getting to a stage now where its becoming awfully annoying to many and especially me.November 10, 2024 at 2:50 pm #293608I don’t see why we would become part time on our gates
November 10, 2024 at 2:53 pm #293609Measured criticism would be fine, but anyone who turns on the board because of Butler is being idiotic. We would rightfully be seen as the most entitled fanbase by others to lose support for them after backing the wrong manager, even with mistakes made.
I am glad we have stability and a recovering club and do not miss the drama of the latter Swann years and the entirety of Hilton’s. Harness will get the respect from most (I suspect) for that after the idiocy of the previous two, even if it bores them when their better custodianship gets mentioned.

November 10, 2024 at 3:21 pm #293611Extended stay in the league may affect the gates we get. The standard isn’t great so it may be that the part time model works better, I don’t know what crowds Stockport use to get when part time but they are of similar size (maybe slightly bigger).
November 10, 2024 at 3:39 pm #293612More competition geographically though.
November 10, 2024 at 3:55 pm #293614Yeah, I get what you’re saying ironawe though there are clubs on lower gates than us that are FT (KL, Buxton, Kidderminster, South Shields etc).

I do agree with this to some extent. A lot of fans now are starting to get extremely pissed off with the current situation and if this carriers on for a great deal longer I can see it all turning a bit nasty.
Michelle has worked wonders, but fans also stood up to be counted and have done everything to help the club out, but that also doesn’t mean they are going to put up with this shite much longer.
If Butler is further financially backed and we tumble down the table, you don’t have to be a genius to figure out how this is all going to pan out.

November 10, 2024 at 5:02 pm #293624The Board have done brilliantly.
Supporters have responded superbly.
The management and players are some way short of both.7 users thanked author for this post.
