her name isn’t sung by the moronic masses ,just shows what the right jumper can do for you.
For what it’s worth, Michelle has always been a fans person whether it was Wharton or Swann in charge, she always helped us out with flag day ,when Swann had that Muppet from Notts County in charge who set in rules about players ,it was Michelle who insured that we still got a few players to show their faces and glad hand with fans ,she never let us down. I am glad she’s in charge now ,she knows how important people can be and it seems is able to put deals together at the sharp end too. It may not work out but she gives us the best chance, today’s news shows that. She’s welcome for a cuppa any timer13 users thanked author for this post.
November 30, 2023 at 9:30 pm #277704I think it will work, I believe in her and the people surrounding the club now. If the unthinkable happens at least the ground is secured.

November 30, 2023 at 11:15 pm #277708It’s hard to believe that just eight weeks ago I was at GP arranging the distribution of the crowdfunder. I won’t go into too much detail here, as I don’t think it is appropriate, but it was a surreal couple of hours that opened my eyes as to how dire the situation had truly become at the club. I left at close of play in utter disbelief and fearing the worst. In truth, I thought it was all over for SUFC and the absolute best case scenario would be an AFC up at Quibell or Brumby Hall.
Michelle, however, was determined to save the club. The negotiations for the club alone took a huge amount of patience and whilst it would have been easier to throw the towel in, she managed to get the deal over the line. The progress made by the new board since that day, against all odds, has been truly remarkable. Trying to raise the funds to purchase the stadium, clear the extreme levels of inherited debt and service the wage bill is no mean feat and whilst it has been challenging, they are beginning to overcome the hurdles. There is still a LONG way to go, and they need our support more than ever but we now have our home and I believe a real hope for the future. Well done to all concerned.

November 30, 2023 at 11:30 pm #277709Michelle has done a brilliant job for the town and all the club supporters, and it appears even better after what the two previous owners did to the football club, she has also been very much supported and helped by the new board of Directors.
We are now certain for the three points on Saturday, now that the players and management have this great news, So a 1 – 3 aways win for The Iron !!

November 30, 2023 at 11:32 pm #277710Well said SST.
Just to add, there has been substantial work and risk taken on by NLC for this deal to be completed. Putting political tribalism to one side, it is worth applauding they have stepped in to save the football club.

December 8, 2023 at 10:43 am #277948I am still laughing at how Harness achieved what honest Dave could not, despite the latter’s excuses and assurances he was doing his best. We finally have an ownership we can place faith in and no more waffle about ransom strips and squatter’s rights shenanigans. An owner who fosters unity and doesn’t make baseless attacks and slander because some fans may have questions.
