Article on the Grimsby Telegraph about his struggles to find a club after release – wonder if we have even bothered to pursue him?
Only 32 and experienced, lives fairly local – surely a no brainer when we have 1 keeper on the books who is a teenager?
Keeper on trial from Sheff Utd according to Lee Turnbull on Humberside, guess he’s playing against Middlesbrough.
Jake Eastwood? Yes please.
21 year old, on loan at Boston last season – not exactly the experience we need…
Dewhurst is the keeper from Sheffield United U23s. Played on loan at Boston apparently.
Will make a great understudy to the experienced keeper we need, surely we have learnt from last year. Most likely not, hill was a central defender did he play in front of a school kid?
According to some comments on the fishy he’s been training with you , not sure if it’s true or not , but as I mentioned a few weeks ago on here he would be a good signing. Easily worth a place in a top 5 NL team , a good pro and a good bloke as well. We only let him go as he was one of our top earners and Hursty thought he could get better value .
That’s us out of the running then!
£600 quid a week is better than being on benefits. Make him an offer
Sounds like he’s desperate enough to come here!
Released Grimsby keeper: “I can’t afford to go a month without being paid”
I repeat …
£600 quid a week is better than being on benefits. Make him an offer
Looking at one of the Middlesbro’ goals we still need a keeper so as you say make him an offer.
Nothing wrong with that. There was a time when ex-Grimsby players came here and excelled. Mike Czuczman, Malcolm Partridge and Mike Brolly to name three. We may well be back to those days. Role reversal.
Beggars can’t be choosers…
