As he’s out of contract next summer, Luton are basically getting him then for a small fee compared to what they’d have to pay now. Secure a future signing – no risk of losing out in a later bidding war if he has a good season. What’s fishy about that?

I agree it is a very good deal for the Cods. They get to keep the precious one for the season but still pocket a bit of cash.
