Can we also hope he’s a bit of an arse kicker just to help out Shrimpton?

Last season he didn’t start a game whilst on loan at Tamworth and was on the bench at Buxton for more games than he started…forgive me for being underwhelmed.

Brogan & Fishburn look like squad building improvers I reckon.

Given we needed to reduce the wage bill but have only lost Elliott and Butterfield from the “higher” earners gang this was inevitable.

We should prepare for the keeper and right back to be more Lidl and Aldi than M&S or Waitrose.

If we have any spare cash left to speculate with I would prefer it spent in the wide positions. History suggests Roberts and Law won’t manage 40 games between them.

Correct MK – We are shopping in the bargain bin!
Last two signings underwhelming but agree that they are likely to be squad players.

You just hope 1 or 2 of them surprise us and are ready to make that step up from promising young players to consistent performer.

Seem to remember nobody was too excited about a 20 year old Gary Hooper turning up at Glanford Park.

If we’re playing 2 up top then our central midfield is looking more and more lightweight. Who will play if it’s just two in there? Scales and Clunan??

Was really hoping that if we made just one decent signing this summer it would be in central midfield, but looks like we’ve ended up shopping in the bargain bucket for someone who played a bit part role for a lower-mid table NLN team last season. Sigh.

Hope the lad makes me eat my words and turns into a gem.

We need a heavy in CM. It would be nice to win occasional headers in that part of the pitch.

Butler may opt to play 3 central midfielders. I find it odd that he’s described as box to box even though we need a midfield spoiler.

We should prepare for the keeper and right back to be more Lidl and Aldi than M&S or Waitrose.

That was always going to be the case. Fitzy and Barrows will be first choice so we’re not realistically going to sign top end well known players when they won’t be classed as first team starters. In my opinion it makes no sense.

The same people who were slagging the club off for spending too much are now the very same people who are moaning about the quality of squad players.

You can’t win with some people. If we were to sign top end players at this level for non 1st team places then we would be no better off and would end up spending the same amount of money than we did last season.

It’s the wide players that we need to be spending the money on. Law and Roberts are held together with duct tape. I’d be surprised if either of them played more than 20 games a piece.

I’d be happy with a youngish promising GK as back up and a hardworking, solid RB.

Yup I’m with MK here what are we expecting at B&M.
Alright some not being over enthusiastic about the signings but this is as good as it gets.
The scraps get used to it.

I’d of rather given a couple of the signing on wages and given it to keep butterfield. That’s my opinion.

True enough but needs the build to go with that.
I wish him well. Welcome, Max.
