Tamworth dropped points again aswell

February 24, 2024 at 6:03 pm #281637Yes in the context of things only minutes from being booed off again, shite performance again even worse ref , inspired half time sub.
February 24, 2024 at 6:04 pm #281638Thought we played a bit better second half, but it was abysmal in the first. Elliott woeful.
February 24, 2024 at 6:44 pm #281641Elliot can’t play that role Dean is trying to get him to do. He’s far too weak to hold up play and his first touch is awful.
Worst 45 mins of season, Dean probably saved for another game by Evans.1 user thanked author for this post.
February 24, 2024 at 9:33 pm #281649Elliot’s clearly not a lone striker. Funny thing is we’ve been saying it for ages !

Funny thing is he’s scored goals above this level. What are we doing to strikers these days when they used to flourish here?
What happened to the days where BadApple used to be on here berating you and calling you Wonder Bowels ?!
Times have changed and its tough watching the team these days.

No idea. Why ?. Do you miss them ?
Maybe he’s softened with old age.
February 24, 2024 at 10:53 pm #281653Maybe a bit of a prune.

Worst 45 mins of season, Dean probably saved for another game by Evans. Can see JD getting the push whatever the rest of the season brings our way .. the board will let him see out his contract and take it from there …
Whats the forums members opinion upon the unlikely event of promotion rather worryingly will he / should he offered a new or extended contract.
Without doubt the late winner to beat a nasty Alfreton side was deserved on the second half performance and has eased pressure on JD and the board.
Football and its fans are so fickle situations can change in such a short space of time and this result may not only put the pressure on Tamworth but act as a much needed confidence boost ..so long as we dont loose to Chester next week.

February 25, 2024 at 5:07 am #281661Shocking first half. We were clearly a notch better than Alfreton in the second.
1/10 for an ultra weak ref who was constantly bullied by the Alfreton big gobs; he gave them the ‘benefit of the doubt’ repeatedly – and us never. Cheating welcomed.
This division is making me paranoid!
Would anyone please give us a price for Elliott?
I am also concerned about Scales. How rare it is to see him bring anything other than mere continuity to the play – and not always that. Anyone know how many – if any – assists he has got this season? I’m not seeing any end product.
Hopefully, after Tuesday, Clarke will be approaching match fitness. He must surely be more effective.1 user thanked author for this post.
February 25, 2024 at 9:05 am #281666Well IFA when you see Marco the one from the iron hour podcasts starting the “Jimmy Dean’s barmy army” chant at full time Jimmy’s job is well safe,
Had to turn round to see who it was, asked him if he was having a laugh but his continuous singing said not, just goes to show we all have well different opinions on what we see on the pitch.1 user thanked author for this post.
February 25, 2024 at 11:11 am #281671Maybe he was on a hallucinogenic drink / drug cocktail?
Promtion: highly unlikely.
Take the Farsley double header Christmas / new year festival mash up out of the equation – and the last time we won two games back to back is December 2nd! Three months ago!
He’ll survive to the end of season regardless.
New contract – NO CHANCE!

Winning Sequences.
We’ve won the following number of games on the bounce:
2 wins = 4 times
3 wins = none
4 wins = onceIf we were to drop down to fourth place or below, then we’d have to win 3 games on the spin to win the play offs – 1/4s, semi & final.
You might say that it only takes a minute to win it or every dog has its day etc
But we ain’t being consistent or good enough to better a league of part timers on tuppeny ha’ppeny budgets.February 25, 2024 at 2:20 pm #281675Winning Sequences.
We’ve won the following number of games on the bounce:
2 wins = 4 times
3 wins = none
4 wins = onceSurely if we’ve won 4 on the bounce once then we must have won three on the bounce at least once!

The sequence is ended by a defeat or a draw.
4 times we’ve won 2 games – then the third game was a non winning game. End of sequence.
Once we won 4 games – the fifth game wasn’t a win. End of sequence.
February 25, 2024 at 8:08 pm #281682Just admit you’re wrong!
You claim we’ve not won three on the bounce, but you’re wrong, we have!
However you try to spin it, you’re wrong.
Idiot!February 25, 2024 at 8:36 pm #281683February 25, 2024 at 8:46 pm #281684Followed by a win at Hereford making it a sequence of 4. To be a winning sequence of 3 the following game would have to be a draw or defeat bringing the sequence to an end – it wasn’t. Rene’s explanation was quite clear.

February 25, 2024 at 8:46 pm #281685What Rene is trying to say is that we haven’t had a case where we only had a run of 3 wins in a row before draw or defeat. When we have won 3 in a row, we went on to win again, so he classes it as a 4 game winning streak.

You’re right he was quite clear, he stated that we had not won three games on the bounce, I’ve proven that we have!
You’re as daft as he is.February 25, 2024 at 9:01 pm #281687Hopefully, after Tuesday, Clarke will be approaching match fitness. He must surely be more effective.
Scales is busy enough, but only scored once all season. I can’t see him having too many assists to his name either. Clarke and Beestin will both get 90 mins, so hopefully they’ll be able to push on and oust him.
Butterfield was better 2nd half, but wasn’t that great overall. Youmbi will get 90 mins, so hopefully he’ll turn out to be a good option from the bench. I was surprised to not see Wilson on the bench against Alfreton, I’m not sure what’s going on there because he’s usually good off the bench.

February 26, 2024 at 10:29 am #281697At the time it was three wins on the bounce. Time passes.

Nursey will be round with SNOT’s mid-day meds pretty soon.
@ SNOT – however you want to look at it, we haven’t won two on the spin since last year.
