That is scunny no life at all, we all was clambering for the young lads but they are obviously not ready but on the brighter side we haven’t conceded for 35 mins.
April 15, 2022 at 4:41 pm #235640Reading on the BBC it sounds like the Alamo. ‘Orient hit the post …. shot just off target … chance narrowly wide ….Orient hit the bar … another Orient attack … woodwork again etc etc If it stays 3 -0 Im a happy bunny.
April 15, 2022 at 4:57 pm #235645Ah well! Drew the second half. And Harrogate and FGR results make us a bit more respectable I suppose.
April 15, 2022 at 5:10 pm #235651The EGO has done it !
He has got us out of Division 2 !!!
And now he clears off with a 100% record of all promises in his statements being a total waste of time !!

April 15, 2022 at 5:15 pm #235659I thank Max for his excellent coverage today. His comments were spot on – not the least of which was that ‘Hill has not gone from good manager to bad overnight’.
‘Could a different manager have made a fist of it?’ – Short answer – no!
(Hackney? – Send him back now.)
The root of the problems are a side which has:
1) No goalscorers.
2) No trickery.
3) No pace.
4) No central defence (Getting money for Manny may have cost us three or four points. But so what?)
5) No midfield leadership.Loadsa eager young players. Perhaps they should be vilified and we should blame them?
Blame? – I suppose that the blame game is inevitable but to blame undercooked players and a manager not given any chance to change the team by forcing him to bring in leftovers in January is crazy logic.
Mr Swann – if you possess any sort of conscience – hang your head in shame!

April 15, 2022 at 6:27 pm #235683Score and performance were irrelevant.
Wins for Stevenage and Barrow means we could have won 10-0 and still gone down.
This was a relegation three years in the making.

April 15, 2022 at 6:40 pm #235687Agreed.
April 15, 2022 at 7:02 pm #235693Disagree slightly NI. I think it’s been in the making since March 2018 when mein fuhrer decided he knew about football.
Sacked Alexander, told Bish and Murphy they weren’t worth a new contract and invented the recruitment committee. Picked managers on their ability to say yes sir.
Direcion of travel has been rapidly downhill ever since.

April 15, 2022 at 7:43 pm #235703So just a years difference between you and NI’s viewpoint then MK but you are both right because everyone knows who the architect of our demise is and that man has run away from responsibility after promising the promised land. We were fooled, duped call it what you like but at least we are forearmed for anymore PR promised bullshit when the next new owner waltzes in the door. Let’s see who’s really been taking notice in a couple of years time, if we still have a football club of course.
April 15, 2022 at 7:46 pm #235704Has Alcazar come back off his holidays on Cloud 9 yet.
April 15, 2022 at 7:48 pm #235706Dont know about Swann hanging his head in shame i would sooner hang it in a noose for all the untruths he has told.
April 15, 2022 at 8:18 pm #235709True enough MK, I was thinking more about the League 2 campaign(s).
We had the opportunity to take stock and regroup after relegation from L1. To stop the rot. Instead we watch in disbelief as the whole recruitment process goes tits-up. Players who were clearly not fit for purpose were brought in on 2/3 year contracts.
Despite promises of a refurbished stadium it gradually falls into disrepair, the chairman stops attending games and lays the blame for our poor showing on Covid and the EFL loan.
It may well have started four years ago but, like that snowball rolling downhill, it picked up speed before finally crashing.
April 16, 2022 at 4:05 am #235757To be fair to the former chairman – we were the only club in the 92 to have been adversely affected by Covid.
April 16, 2022 at 8:04 am #235763As a businessman I don’t think Swann could have done a worse job, aside from admin/liquidation he has got every single thing wrong. I think if you took a chimp out of the jungle and gave him the role he would’ve got one thing right.
