So that’s a fourth game without a shot on target, one shot off target and 2 corners, all in the first half, not good enough, you have off days but now it is every game.

That was the most embarrassing and utterly spineless performance I have ever seen whilst supporting Scunthorpe United!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe any group of so called professional footballers can honestly receive their pay after that game.

I would be totally embarrassed to even show my face anywhere near the club after that! It is total shambles from top to bottom with a rotten core that is slowly festering and destroying the club I love.

All the out of contract players should be payed off now and told don’t bother coming back, I can’t understand why you take a young player who is getting rave reviews then to sit him on the bench for the whole game while Eisa plays 90 mins and can’t even be bothered to run after a 36 year old allowing him a free shot whilst scoring their second goal.

I was right behind cox but tonight he showed a total lack of any football knowledge and tactics, and I now believe the players are not the only ones that need to go! We need a total new start with all new coaches as well.

Don’t know what game he was watching but to take off the only outfield player that was really busting a gut in Karacan was unbelievable and that has just cost us the one decent player we had a chance of signing for next season.

I will now but my £300-00 into a local non league club where the players actually want to play for the club and the shirt, I refereed a local veterans league game on Sunday! In it there were 50 year old men showing more heart, sole, pride and passion about the game then 90 percent of the useless ,lazy, overpaid, underworked, spineless bunch of wasters on show in Mansfield tonight.

TIME TO ACT MR SWANN! NO MORE EXCUSES ABOUT COVID AND IF YOU CANNOT THEN ITS TIME YOU WENT TOO AND LET SOMEONE HAVE OUR CLUB THAT CAN BEFORE WE SLIP INTO ABYSS THAT IS NON LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

LUCKILY SOUTHEND AND GRIMSBY ARE WORSE THEN US WHICH IS A BLOODY MIRACLE ELSE WE WOULD BE ALREADY GETTING READY FOR TRIPS TO DOVER, HALIFAX , SUTTON UTD ,ETC,ETC.

Cant disagree with previous and it is obvious most players are not interested or not bothered .
Cox must take blame but the chairman does not seem to care whether we are in the national league
I have been a season ticket holder for 40 plus years but not next season

Thank Christ that there are only a hanfull of games remaining this season, I just wish that Cox would pack his bags and go, after admitting that he and his fellow management are bloody clueless. Once again, ONE SHOT IN 98 MINS, (which for interest purposes cleared the stand, and dare I say it once again, NOT ONE SHOT ON TARGET, and not even a suggestion of a shot, well depressing ratings, but what else can we do.

WATSN—7—Stopped this from being an even worse hammering.good job no Howard !!
ROWE—5–He has lost what skills he had when firs selected.
ONARIASE—6—Did his best, but this team is really pathetic.
TAFT—6—Very average tonight., they have brught him down to their levels.
O’MALLEY—8—My MOM, his workrate was great, and he put in many first class certres.
KARACAN—6—Was pissed off when subbed, probably because Eisa remained on the pitch.
BEESTIN—6—Got involved a good bit, but hot and cold really.
GILLIEAD–7–If anything was ever going to come from anywhere it would have been him.
EISA—2—This is stretching it a bit, why did the clown play him for full game?
LOFT—3—Headless chicken once again, ran, ran and ran a bit like Novak but not as good, god help any Scunny fans that stay with this shower for 2021/2 season.

REF—8—Ref was ok, and got things right.

COX—3—Team selection was piss poor, why select Eisa, and worse still why play him for 98 min, Loft is a waste of time ?? Rowe is not as good as Howe, but gets selected, and the whole team play aimless defensive boring rubbish, how much longer with this tripe Swann’y.

Good job there are tewo worse teams in the bottom league, but only just, and with our one win in twelve matches, how much longer Mr Swann???????

As I stated some weeks ago this is the worse team in our football league history. Everyone at the club should be totally ashamed of themselves. Your a disgrace from top to bottom. I have never been as disgruntled about football as I am tonight.

Hope we will be going to Sutton next year, they’ve slipped up a bit lately but hopefully they can get over the line. That’s another one from Barton not coming anymore, are they closing the roads down or am I missing something?.

The Prawn must be seething having to pay wages to these wasters.

Prawn is responsible for bringing them here in the first place!

And there was me thinking that I was on my own with the same thoughts asmyoursewlf pal, but with only 40 years mate, how do you think that I feel like after 69 years, there will be a few empty seats in the Cluggy Stand next season, because I am getting the feeling that National League wages could be the aim of our once great little club. I get this feeling simply because nothing is being done what so ever to stop this downward slide, fans have long since forgotten about New Stadiums, Re-furbished Stadim, 160 appartments and Championship football, we would like our spells in League One and Two to return to our club, anda bit of attacking football thrown in for good measutre.

THE CHANCE IS STILL OPEN TO YOU MR SWANN, SO A BIT OF TRUTH AND A SIMPLE PLAN IS REQUIRED, get rid of Cox, Lillis, Mussa and Wilcox and the under 23 team, get just one good up and coming manager and start again, but do not keep trying to tell supporters of many years that Cox is doing a great job, just a reminder that we have now gone 12 matches with just the ONE win, and think back a few months when we lost eight games on the bounce, that is ONE WIN IN TWENTY MATCHES IN TWO SPELLS THIS SEASON (ALL UNDER COX AND HIS BRAINS TRUST).

No Awaywego99, we are just fed up turning out to watch such boring bloody trash, and you and your father Peter can stick the whole set up your arses, we just do not want to waste ourtime watching such boringshite, you will have plenty of room to perform your arse licking, but no money coming in, so the club would probably fold, that situation would be sad for the 4,000 loyal club supporters, but would possibly be a good thing for anyone owning GP and its land. Are you one of them Awaywego69???

How many players are really giving their all for Cox??

If the answer is less than 5 then he can’t get the best out of the team and he needs to go!!

    I know the answer!!

Swann can’t seriously think Cox is good enough to manage a complete new squad of players..surely not !

I know he’s been dealt a dodgy hand but his decision making and tactics don’t make any sense whatsoever. I honestly don’t get him at all.

Eisa plays the full match and the takes off Karacan ?

That’s just one crazy example…I could easily list more but what’s the point ?

Even the mighty Adkins could not motivate some of these losers.
The trouble is – it only takes a handful of the couldn’t-care-less brigade or the I-do-not-get-why-they-are-all-rattling-on-about-pride-and-professionalism crew for an attitude to run rampant through a squad.

I got into trouble from Ferrite some months ago for talking about sergeant majors and boots up rears.

Obviously, I must have been wrong.

Totally agree Les and what makes it even worse is every fan who’s paid their ten quid to watch the last half dozen games could name (and shame) every one of the wage thieves who pull on a shirt and run around (or away) pretending that they’re putting a shift in. How can these conmen look at themselves in the mirror afterwards? Tom Newey talks a lot of sense and his repeated words from the past few games have been spot on – “these are professional athletes who should be ashamed of themselves. Take responsibility or leave ……”

I wonder how this BB would vote if we were allowed / invited to rank our players hall of shame for this year ?????

Last nights performance I feel is a fare reflection of the club as a whole right now. There is a golden thread of ineptitude and lethargy going through the club, from the very top, to the very bottom.

The players are no longer interested in putting a shift in, and most, possibly all, will be wanting out of this carbuncle of club we all support. I am surprised? No. I did say on another thread that Cox’s public tongue lashing of the players would likely have a negative affect on the squad, and last nights abject failure is a direct manifestation of that!

I am thankful for the mini run we had at the start of the year. If it wasn’t for that I am 100% certain we would be getting relegated this season!

The thought of next season fills me full of dread. With the financial restrictions at the club we’re going to have to do some truly outstanding dealing in the transfer market to have a chance mid-table obscurity. Given the club’s transfer committee’s recent history, that seems highly unlikely.

Getting back to last nights match. It reminded me so much of my days playing in the Barton League. Poor quality pitch, poor quality football, and a chubby ref puffing and wheezing his way around the pitch. The highlight of last night was the drone.

From what I have read BS It is you are up Peter’s arse, you talk a good talk like many others but when it comes down to it you Carry on purchasing ifollow week in week out. For me it couldn’t have been a better season from what I’ve been led to believe we’ve been shite for most of the season so what a good season to miss, I’ve not given Swanny one penny this season so I’ve not enabled him unlike you. Next season I will go to many away games no matter what league position or how we are playing, those games are all about me having a good day out. When it comes to home games if they are playing boring shite my home games will be very selective, I will not hand over my money just for the sake of it my money precious to me. You make out your 69 years as some kind of punishment or chore you’ve had to endure, embrace the bad times as well as the good that’s what footballs all about, surely if anything that what the last few days have shown us.

Last night for effort was the worst in our history. Mr Cox if you wont drop the so called player’s who are not playing for the shirt then you must go. Sorry but I can’t see myself going down to the ground to watch these performances next season. Please Mr Swann for the sake of our club sort it out.

is it just coincidence BS, but since Rory got back in goal we are conceding at least twice as many goals a game, 12 in 5 inc a clean sheet, Howard had conceded 36 in the previous 31 games, he might be playing decent himself but he doesn’t inspire the defence in front of him, Howard organizes them better.

Please Mr Swann for the sake of our club sort it out.

We’ve been asking him to do that for the last three years. What makes you think he’s going to do anything other than sack Cox and replace like for like?

What makes you think the “committee” will stop signing the Aaron Jarvis and Dunwald-Turan types and go for an Eoin Doyle or a Jamille Matt?

He’ll be too busy sorting out his hotels and casinos for May 17th.

    Harsh on Rory, Mick.

It is midfield for me which is where we are being let down. Think it was Newey who pointed out what Loft was having to contend with – and that on top of playing alongside Eisa.

Beestin was poor. Green had a few runs but overall contribution was mediocre. Gilly did his best against all odds, of course.
After a good 15 or so matches, I have seriously started to think that Karacan has got dragged into the underperforming.

When midfield fails – your defence is up against it. Last night, I thought both Taft and Onariase did not look fit/match fit.

A good few saves and for me, only one goal where Rory might have done a bit better.

When midfield fails – your forwards get no supply. Clough used to say that you build a team starting with defence. I reckon that the midfield is actually more important. One Bishop-type in that CM yesterday and I believe the whole match would have been very different.

Taft was absolutely awful last night. We just have to hope that he is not fully fit and not just coasting now he has a long term deal.

but we seem to change the center half pairings every game through either one been unfit or brought back too soon, all 5 have had problems and when was the last time the same two played together.

les I wasn’t being harsh I was just stating fact, everyone knows Rory has played well this last few games but the players in front of him are not, whether it is all the swapping about with injuries I don’t know but the defence don’t look the same without Howard there.

Adkins may not have been able to motivate some of these but he would not have accepted the performances and others would have got a chance.

Start of the season we were going to develop players. Only Mason O’Malley has achieved that but he has had the opportunity of a lot of games but how many have not a chance ?

Jai Rowe must wonder, he is in does well and gets dropped and why ? because of what I call targeting. Lining up to deal with what opponents will do on so many occasions that we forget that opponents should have to deal with us !

This season has been a bigger farce than last season which was a farce on the season before ! And if their is no apology and change of the philosophy promised get ready for another season of chaos.

o what are you saying Mick “that we are missing the clown that never leaves his goal line, I try and say it how it is pal, you may not agree, which is up to yourself, but please do not try and say that we are missing Howard, could it just be that only possibly 4 players are giving their best, instead of about eight before, and that no managerial skills have finally caught up with the team.

This present team Mick is pathetic, lacking effort, lacking skills, have very little skill in passing & Ball control, many want away from Scunny, but they should still put in a shft whilst still here`, but lets face it, management have no clue what to do to change things, and even a bout of Chairman bullshit is in short supply these days, Peter usually has the right thing to say to give fans hope, but even he has given this up, so it continues week after week and getting worse, and the sad thing is that all our previouse managers have been sacked when they have all done better jobs than the present clown and his management team, to use the words loosely.

I have to agree with Mick. Howard directs those in front of him a hell of a lot more effectively, which In my opinion settles the defence down more than when Watson is in goal.

Watson is a good shot stopper but that’s where it ends with him. I think next season we need to move him on, re sign Howard and also sign another experienced GK to battle it out with him.

I’m telling you now, we’ll need experience there next season…that’s a certainty.

Watson can go for me. No great loss.
