The clear out is underway.
Gone.March 15, 2022 at 9:59 am #233555Where to?? Have we just released him??
March 15, 2022 at 10:23 am #233556I know he gave away the odd penalty and is not the most composed of centre backs we ever had but he always worked hard and made opposition forwards work hard.
Enjoyed watching him in times when there has been so little to enjoy.
Thanks Manny and good luck wherever you are heading. If Keith’s found a better replacement he must be pretty good.

March 15, 2022 at 11:07 am #233557Always thought he looked like a liability, and a penalty waiting to happen so not too sad to see him go….

March 15, 2022 at 12:25 pm #233564Tonights back 4 – Rowe, Taft, Delaney, Lewis. Any injury/sending off causes problems.

March 15, 2022 at 12:52 pm #233567A liability 1 v 1, but by no means the worst of this current shower.

March 15, 2022 at 4:46 pm #233579I guess Hill is planning to use the juniors in defence (as back up) as we have no other CD cover (if Jai Rowe is employed elsewhere).
March 15, 2022 at 5:05 pm #233581If Manny is going back to the National League he might as well go to a half decent team nearer home.
March 15, 2022 at 5:37 pm #233582Seriously though what is the plan??? Do we have a plan? does anybody in the club have a plan about anything?!? KH said he does but he says a lot but also says very little, its the most haphazard strategy in the history of SUFC.

March 15, 2022 at 5:44 pm #233583Assume it’s Keith’s choice?
Would have thought Manny would be perfect for us in the National League.
March 15, 2022 at 6:12 pm #233588He was of very few I’d have kept in for next season- but like someone said, the further down the leagues you go, geography plays a bigger role in attracting/keeping players.
As always, the million dollar question is what plan do we have in place for next year? Over the past few years it’s been nothing, however with Simon Elliot on board, it at least offers a glimpse of optimism.

March 15, 2022 at 10:40 pm #233627If the player was out of contract in May and had expressed an interest to leave and we could get a small fee now for him and Hill was happy to let him move on then what’s the problem? The point I am making is we don’t know all the circumstances regarding this decision and probably never will but if we get something for him now as opposed to nowt in May then for me that’s the correct thing to do. We are down anyway so just move on.

March 15, 2022 at 11:26 pm #233635Wasn’t he our top goal scorer?

March 16, 2022 at 10:48 am #233660“Seriously though what is the plan???”
Hill said that it was his decision because Manny wasn’t in his plans.
Apparently there are multiple plans that we don’t know about.
March 16, 2022 at 12:47 pm #233666Not in his plans despite that fact he seems to have been played in nearly every match when fit and sometimes not fit. Very odd decision. I think now we are looking considerably weaker than at the start of the transfer window. At least I’ve got Torquay away to look forward to next year if we don’t go bust.
March 16, 2022 at 3:51 pm #233687Seems all was well last week, told someone I know that he was very happy. He has known Manny for many seasons and knows him well.
