Pre match here
September 29, 2020 at 1:11 pm #195191No one bovvered, obviously!
September 29, 2020 at 2:19 pm #195193I’m interested enough to watch from foreign climes.
Would quite like to see who plays and how well.
Not a fan of the hijacking of this tournament but not sufficiently peeved to boycott it.September 29, 2020 at 3:50 pm #195194The prize money is not bad though we’ve earned 25,000 pounds already.
September 29, 2020 at 6:09 pm #195197I’m going to give it a watch. I see Colclough, McAtee and Eisa are all playing so will be good to see them back in action.
September 29, 2020 at 9:20 pm #195206And they certainly didn’t do themselves any favours, wasn’t many who impressed to be fair, a very average performance against a good young football team.
September 29, 2020 at 9:31 pm #195208Bit embarrassing against a Man City side with an average age of 17. Never thought I’d say this but I pray to God that Watson doesn’t get injured if Kelsey is our backup!
September 29, 2020 at 9:52 pm #195209After watching that I am praying that Rowe and O’Malley mature very quickly and that Spence and Vincent can both have an injury free season. Could be a long hard winter otherwise.
The centre midfield and full back positions are lacking in cover to say the least. Also agree with BLT, if you thought Watson was a bit shaky……
September 29, 2020 at 9:53 pm #195211Average age of 17?, ours was less than 22 but we didn’t have the pick of some of the best young World talent to pick from,
September 29, 2020 at 10:01 pm #195212I wasn’t impressed with Kelsey, the only other time I saw him play was against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup and he played well in that one, our problem is we are playing too many players out of position, Central Midfield at Right Wing Back, Wingers in Central Midfield, and god knows where some others were playing.
September 29, 2020 at 10:11 pm #195213Shambles.
Cox needs to sort this out quickly.
1. Pick players who give a shit
2. Play them in a proper formation
3. Play them in their actual positionsThat was embarrassing to watch for the 68 minutes I lasted.
Jarvis and Colclough particular lowlights.
At least you got a shoutout on the radio Mick.
September 29, 2020 at 11:24 pm #195214I didn’t know that.
September 30, 2020 at 4:13 am #195217Yes, Mick. Fame at last.
What’s it like at the top?Agree that Jarvis looked out of his depth and Colclough’s contribution was minimal.
Bedeau made some more of those unnecessary mistakes I had hoped that he’d left behind. He may soon be paying the price as a certain CB is starting to look pretty close to match fit.Thought Green began by looking average or worse but seemed able to adjust to the pace of the game as time went on.
With such a lot to do, thought Beestin put in a very decent stint. There were mistakes but against the mighty kids, gathered at the cost of many millions from across the globe, he was arguably my MOTM.
Felt sorry for the FBs – play tight or not? The MC exceptional skills gave them the runaround. Thought they did as much as could have been reasonably expected.
September 30, 2020 at 7:56 am #195218Clarke injured AGAIN!!!! Said this before but we really do need an experienced CM just to sit in and organize, last night was like watching a training match,no tackles going in no pressure, one or 2 looked interested but to me that was it,on to Tranmere who beat Liverpool U21 LAST NIGHT
September 30, 2020 at 8:16 am #195220Vincent for me has been poor, he’s tidy enough but doesn’t really do any thing of note..Spence is pretty good but I’d give Beestin a go in there.
Rowe at RB and stick Onariase in at CB in place of Bedeau. Colclough can’t be arsed, he needs moving on.
Cox is irritating the shite out of me.
STOP PLAYING THESE WEIRD FORMATIONS WITH PLAYERS PLAYING OUT OF POSITION.
Why does he not just opt to play 4/4/2 and play them where they are supposed to be played ?
I hope now Onariase is fit he doesn’t go 3 at the back again on Saturday. No more of that bullshit.
Swann an co need hanging for signing Clarke on for another yr and making him captain. Cox said he felt his thigh in training so now he’s been pulled out again.
Come January he needs binning off and we need to sign an able bodied RB. Fingers crossed Rowe stays fit.
Least now with Rowe back fit we’ll have a proper RB.
That performance was awful from what I’ve been told, somebody on twitter paid £10 to watch it and turned it off with about 35 minutes to go lol
Wingers playing in CM again, when will Cox learn. If he doesn’t watch it he’ll end up pissing a lot of the players off.
I really don’t understand what he’s trying to achieve.
September 30, 2020 at 12:06 pm #195223Read Neil Cox’s post match in Scun Telegraph – not a happy bunny at all !!
Did hear this morning that outside the dressing room it was very plain only 1 persons voice was heard and it was not complimentary regarding the input of certain players efforts and attitude throughout the evening.
September 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm #195224Good. Get them told and if they don’t want to be here ship them out.
September 30, 2020 at 4:32 pm #195227The message was delivered and even through the walls left you in no doubt who it was said to.
Pulled no punches.
September 30, 2020 at 5:38 pm #195228He said in that interview with Mike White that he laid into them because the players were more or less patting themselves on the back, our problem is there isn’t a balance between experience and inexperience and a lot of players have jumped up divisions in the league with only Gillihead and Watson being the only experienced players at the moment who is starting games, even Crewe who had a young team had four or five players with experience.
Neil Cox said in a Paper the other day he was pushing the local young players into the team and on Saturday overlooked Eisa even off the bench when under pressure, but playing too many players out of position is a puzzle.
I was looking forward to seeing Neil and Mark in charge but he turned his promised 4 4 2 formation into a Russ Wilcox Borefest style after a couple of pre season games and he isn’t winning fans over with our football but I hope he eventually gets it right because we have had three horrendous seasons and for the clubs sake I hope this gamble pays off, I am just hoping we don’t see Van Veen at full back.September 30, 2020 at 11:46 pm #195232WALTERSLEFTFOOT—THE TRANMERE WIN OVER LIVERPOOL UNDER 21S WAS NOT REALLY THAT GOOD MATE, THE SAME LIVERPOOL 21 TEAM LOST THEIR FIRST MATCH 6-0 AGAINST WIGAN.
