    Sauna?

If we lose tomorrow it’s a fair bet MK will be steaming out of his ears.

The next few matches will give us a real indication of the quality if the squad, and the mananger. If we are to do the unlikely and avoid relegation we need to start picking up wins quickly, and this starts tonight at Maidstone.

I would go as far to say a an unthinkable defeat tonight is the relegation coffin lid going on with nails hammered in along the way there after.

i predicted 2-1 Scunny a while ago for this fixture and gonna stick by it..

Is this a team to win the game? How many goals (this season) in the team?

Thought McDonagh and Elliot would play as a front two

It’s jimbobs team too win the game Cass,I luv Cam but can we afford him to play another cameo game, Jim thinks not tonight, can always bring him on though if things aren’t going to script.

I thought we would have played with Elliott and McDonagh, also Wilson and Shields on the bench, god knows what our intentions are going forward

Ferris is pants and Elliott is too greedy, twice he could have slid another player in but chose to go alone

Forward line is no more than adequate.
Zero possibility of pulling the desperately needed points out of the white rabbit’s hat.
Staying in the NL is now impossible – even if we were to fluke three points in the 2nd half.

Sounds about the right result tonight with neither side tearing up any trees, still it’s an away point and as usual it will depend on the home form to give us any chance whatsoever of staying up.

In a demonstration of true devotion Mrs MK gave up her birthday dinner and let me watch the game in our rather nice Durham hotel room.

Sadly it was a game that would have been more exciting watching on Ceefax.

Definitely the 2 worst sides in the league on show tonight- shocking game of football.

We just can’t dictate a game at all- barring a nice 10 minute spell in the 2nd half it was all pedestrian again with no real urgency to create chances; Ogle being the exception.

Not sure with dean. Had the chance of 4/4/2 and play with width and 2 strikers but went like for like. Dean could have even brought shields on for Beeston and had him and Wilson either side to offer a bit more going forward but just settled of what we had.

On that evidence Ferris is shite, Wilson showed more in 25+ minutes added time than he did in 65. Elliot isn’t a lone striker, looks like he’d be better with a partner up there.

Why do we always seem to employ safety first managers ?.

Ironically the only one who’s had us playing positively with 2 upfront was Nelson and he didn’t even have a contract. I applaud Dean for having his way of playing but it’s not really working.

Still early days with Dean but under Nelson we were getting the ball down, playing through teams with 2 up front and we were starting to play some nice football.

I feel like with Dean we’ve regressed from what Nelson was doing. I mean don’t get me wrong, I like him as a person and think he comes across well but early indications are that tactically he’s not really that clued up.

That’s just me comparing the way Nelson went about it and how I feel Dean is faring.

We were making progress under the Admiral.
    Sadly decommissioned far too early.

A few improved performances but generally pretty poor.
Gerry & Elliott not working separately, must be tried together.
DS-F well behind Wilson, Feeney and Shields for a wide spot.
    Beestin looked lost.
Pugh popped up all over the pitch but didn’t seem to have a role.
    Chapman saved us a point.
Bunker seems to be fitted with a rear view mirror, can’t see forwards.
2 long throwers, plenty of long throws, no end product, this weeks homework.
    Smith looked tidy.

Just watched the YT highlights on Stones TV .. about 10 minutes in all and seemed to me like a very scrappy game (take off the S more accurate) , their goal very lucky as Chapman had the shot covered n took a nasty deflection, basically two bad teams and 1-1 a fair result that did nothing for either club.

Beestin’s not a winger and never will be. If he’s hell bent on playing him then he should play a different formation.

    4/3/1/2

Stick beestin with Bunker and pugh in a CM 3 and play butterfield behind a front 2 of elliot and big Gez. If he’s playing with genuine width than play Shields. I thought he looked pretty good with that cameo he had a few games ago.

Leon Clarke signed for Hartlepool in January. 38 but would still have scared the shit out of NL defences!

11 goals in 15 games for us. I doubt if we’ve ever had a better goals per game ratio striker.

Definitely need another striker to add more depth upfront but if Dean is hell bent on only playing the 1 up top, what would be the point ?
