A decade or so ago, the big games were against Newcastle United, Sheffield United etc.

Now, the “big game” is against Maidstone United F.C. – the bottom club in the NL.

The Mighty Stones were the only team in the bottom four to secure a point today.

“let’s all make believe” that we’re going to stay up.

“It’s Gettin’ Better (Man!!)” … don’t fool yourselves, we “Ain’t Got Nothin'”

“It’s Better People” if we face reality and acknowledge that there is no “Magic Pie”.

“Some Might Say” or ask, “Where Did It All Go Wrong?”

Jimmy Dean has being heard to ask, “Who Put the Weight of the World on My Shoulders?” – we’ve got to “Roll with It” and that we “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and that “(As Long as They’ve Got) Cigarettes in Hell” then we will all have a “Champagne Supernova” next season.

Needs to go 442 with wingers, this is a win or bust situation. Dean has said the Barnet game won’t define us/our season, he said the same for Wrexham and then again yesterday. So law of averages would say this game will define it….. I hope we give it a real go but I doubt we will.

When Bru eventually interview Hilton would be good to know the pricing for what will be part time regional football, which was pretty nailed on whilst Swann had his grubby hands on the club.

Well, Scunny have brought in many new players, but still cannot seem to get wins under their belt, with games passing by so quickly, the team need a good few 3 opointers, but with being so inconsistant, this is not going to happen.
After listening to the manager after yesterdays match, he clearly stated that there are players not giving their best, so these players must be sorted out qand different one’s put into the team in their place.
prediction Maidstone 3 Scunny 1 or Maidstone 0 Scunny 2——depending on which team turn up.,

The truth is, they will never get out of the bottom four places. With 345 Scunny fans trecking away yesterday, out of a total gate of only 1,075, it must have seemed like an home game to Scunny, but the teams very poor performance as a reward for our supporters was not much less than pathetic, and however faithful our fans are, they will not keep their 100% backing if it clearly is obviouse that the team still has passengers. Sort it out for the supporters and the clubs sake.

going on radio commentary and highlights as i do most of the time its difficult to see which players Dean was alluding to re not giving 100% / not being committed … (loan players or signed).. can anyone shed any light on this ?

The managers got to say something after every game, we don’t have to take it as the gospel truth, part of the problem was his set up, let’s see if the ones who don’t play on Tuesday don’t play for a few games more than likely not Imo.

Need 2 upfront. Leake is no better than Daniel and doesn’t have the experience. Still dodgy at the back and Smith looked solid when he came on the other day. Play with some with for once with actual wingers and get some service to the strikers for once.

We didn’t need so many new players. They are talking about two extra now. It beggar belief!

We needed more quality but seemingly opted for quantity. Not all of the newcomers are better than we had (so far) so a couple that are an improvement couldn’t be a bad thing surely.
