Strangely confident on this early 6 pointer! 4-1 on Skybet for Scunny to score 3 or more goals – must be worth a tenner :)

Go for that bet, just need Apter to return to his normal form and he should provide the impetus to push us towards a win. Nuttall needs to start firing again up front and show why he is our leading scorer. Reckon we can win this one.

Same as ironfromafar says, this is a very much win for Scunny, although Daws is like all other Iron managers in that their first thoughts are about setting up defensivly, no matter how poor the other team is. I am going for my second correct forcast in three days, and are going for a 2-1 win for Scunny.

Please take a chance Daws and go for the three points, we still need about eight wins in the remaining part of the season, and if you cannot manage to guide the team to a win today against another crap team it will be either Liquidation or the NLN,

JUST GIVE THE REMAINING SUPPORTERS SOMETHING TO CHEER ABOUT.

It’s ironic listening to our former failed manager saying where we are going wrong.
However it’s becoming clearer every game that Daws is not the man for the job.

Team has obviously worked hard. Commentators said so. But- it’s been all hell and no notion. Otherwise known as – headless chicken syndrome.

Sounds embarrassing on Radio Humberside – be interested to hear from those that were there?

Daws isn’t a manager. The problem is who else would come with the situation as it is? Maybe with new owners, but when is that going to happen?

Happily, Vader – I was not there in person.
Still. As long as we know that the football club will be in good shape when the owner eventually steps aside – surely, all must be well.
Irony apart – the abject misery of the last five years is not too far behind bereavement in the way it leaves you feeling.

Well what a bloody pathetic shower once again, at home against another bottom four team that had just lost six away games on the bounce, and not won in twelve matches, they win 0-2 agains our pathetic cluless shower.

For Christ sake Daws just get yourself back into being in charge of the youth team, and take that so called coaching clown Mussclewhite with you, enough is enough and you are just playing into Swanns hands like Cox and Hill before you, just go and see Turnbull and admit that you haven’t got a bloody clue what you are doing. Maidstone who have conseeded more goals in the NL that any other club but can easily keep a clean sheet away at Scunthorpe. Plymiron pleasse just keep your cash in your pocket pal, fancy backing Scunny to win, but I was completely wrong myself, we should have more bloody sence.

So another enjoyable day our for the fans that turned out again, fair play to you guys, it must have been painful once again, my day was bad watching our rugby lads losing, but at least I did not listen to Cox he Humberside “EXPERT SUMMERISER” as they call him, ha ha! the place has gone bloody mad!!!!

Les, Swann is not going anywhere mate, he wants his companies land package, surely you are not still listening to what he tells you are you??, Cox, Hill and now Daws have done their best for the owner to drive the club into where Swann wants it, my pity is for the 6,000 fans that we had, and the town its self.

Well I will not be bigging up the Iron again after a reasonable showing against a very good team in Wrexham in midweek. I said we could win this one, we were absolutely shocking. The first half was probably the worst half of football between two awful football teams I have ever witnessed, beyond awful. Yes they were poor too but they beat us because we were absolutely shite from top to bottom. Why?, I don’t know, we just can’t produce any consistency whatsoever and were just dire in our approach and attitude to the basic principles of playing football. Kick, rush, huff, puff it was f***ing abysmal. Second half began slightly more promisingly where we actually got bodies in the box and created a few bits and pieces, yes we had what appeared a good goal disallowed for what someone thought was handball but in truth we deserved nowt. This team will go down if the owner does not sell very soon and maybe even will if we are sold. We are terrible guys, there is no other description.

He wasn’t an option. He was the last man in the building once Hill & Co had sailed off into the sunset.

He probably cleans out the bogs and hoovers the executive lounge too!

Useless owner + useless manager = useless team!

Outplayed by a team who were below us, even so we should have scored a couple on the break in the second half why the f did Apter pass back when easier to score, then Laverey wanted to long to shoot when he did he couldn’t hit the target, overall shameful performance yet again.

Writing was on the wall at the start of the season. Recruitment was/is a car crash and although Swann is ultimately to blame, it hasn’t prevented teams with a lower budget or in a similar mess off the field being able to put together a half decent squad.

Short term Daws needs to take a step back and force The club to look elsewhere because he hasn’t got a clue unfortunately and that has been evident for some time despite the ‘honeymoon period’.

There’s a decent team in them it’s just coached out of them, Mussie got hold of Dewhurst and stopped all that good distribution he showed when he first came now it’s a pass to the backs or a backpass to him and the big hoof towards Nuttall, boring boring boring, when was the last see him throw out to anybody, coach them to play at speed instead of pussy footing around.

Another shocking performance with no motivation, we desperately need a leader both on the pitch and in the dugout, they only had 2 efforts and we were wasteful with ours and don’t think their keeper got his shorts dirty.

Defence/ keeper have never been good enough. We were scoring 2/3 a game and coming away with draws. We needed 2 centre backs before a ball was kicked and clearly needed another left back when it became obvious O’Malley had regressed significantly

You are definitely competitive so far I feared Swann would put 14/15 year old in at the start of the season .Seems a very tight league again this year how did Wrexham play style wise ?they just launched it and used long throws last season even with a league 1 budget or whatever it is wondered if they try to pass it more now .

What are iron fans thoughts on the NL in general better or worse standard than you expected ?
