January 5, 2023 at 9:28 am #251982Optimistic, we haven’t scored twice in a game since October.
Hope you’re right.January 5, 2023 at 10:07 am #251985AnonymousInactiveOffline

Hope you’re right. But we’ve conceded two or more in 12 of the last 14 league games.
😢January 5, 2023 at 10:14 am #251989Both of which might suggest that Maidenhead are more likely to score 2 than we are.

Hope you’re right.Optimistic indeed i hear you … possibly brought on with a bit of late NY cheer and a few amber beverages… but im sticking to my 2-1 prediction.

Hopefully, he won’t have his shooting booties on today 🤞

Nope, done it again ain’t I.
Stone & Head – a form of dyslexia?
Maybe they should merge and form Headstone United?Acquah on 8 goals is MaidenHEADS top scorer.

Didn’t see that coming!
Chesterfield matching West Brom in the cup. Perhaps our festive results weren’t as bad as they looked.

January 7, 2023 at 5:50 pm #252180Very enjoyable and well deserved, a good all round display with special mentions for Lavery, Shrimpton, Wilson and Butterfield. Beestin worked hard but gave it away a couple of times but no real complaints overall, nice to see Foster back in goal and Ogle will be back in the groove after a couple of games to get match fit. Only downside is Lavery will probably leave along with Butterfield but the youngsters are certainly starting to look better with each game.

January 7, 2023 at 6:11 pm #252184January 7, 2023 at 6:36 pm #252189Proper performance that today, plaudits are deserved all round. Lavery has probably secured himself another deal elsewhere so fair play to him, he was class.
I’ve Been highly critical of Taft and Boyce but it shows when they have a good game how it can spread across the side.
Much better Under Nelson anyway, I just hope we don’t have to wait months for another performance like it.
January 7, 2023 at 6:50 pm #252190Thought most people said that NI we gave it a go in both games and unlucky to come away with nothing. Didn’t go today pleased for everyone who did.
January 7, 2023 at 7:50 pm #252201Decent performance against a team that showed we aren’t the worst team in this league.
Passing still unsatisfactory for me, take out the tippy tappy back 4 stuff and the rest was moderate too often.1 user thanked author for this post.

Topics: 80On a day where 3 of the bottom four all won – nothing really changes.
Still five points from 20th place – with the teams in 18th, 19th & 20th all having two games in hand on us.
So, we beat a part time non league outfit.
Let’s see how we go against Woking next week!
January 7, 2023 at 11:39 pm #252218Well done lads, it sounded like a lot of effort was put in to the match, and although the other team are having a bad run and no league wins in the past seven games, it was nice to listen the game and christ also a clean sheet.
Although a nice three points were taken from this match, it was not good to see that most of the bottom six teams also recorded wins, but maybe this performance will give the lads a bit of confinence in the near future, the thing is we really need a run of three or four wins on the bounce, but after all, todays win was the first win since eleven matches, so very small comfort treally.
For things to look a bit more rosey, the club must be taken over by the new owners within a couple of weeks, but we all know this will not happen.
So Mr Swann, please do the right thing and sell our club to some people that really want the best for the club and it fans, and try to reclaim a minute ammount of respect from fans from your disasterous eight years stay at SUFC.
January 8, 2023 at 1:41 am #252228reading the match reports n fan comments seems like a decent display against an average side.
Sadly Lavery will move on at which point doesnt leave us with much of a goal threat.
One swallow doesnt make you sick .. i mean spring !!
January 8, 2023 at 3:52 am #252231We are going to have to loan a few more players to replace those who are leaving this month. Losing Butterfield and Lavery will leave a gaping hole. Hopefully our manager knows how to get people through the door..
