November 12, 2024 at 5:14 pm #293709“Contract terminated ” that’s strong language, or just that idiot James writing badly again?

November 12, 2024 at 5:16 pm #293710New Chap wielded the axe straight away?
November 12, 2024 at 5:22 pm #293712In no reality is it feasible to have a head of football and a CEO in the National league north-something had to give.

But who will he blame when any new signings fail to impress?
November 12, 2024 at 5:58 pm #293716Does the wage saved mean new signings are hopefully announced very soon?
November 12, 2024 at 6:04 pm #293718A wage saved or a payoff given. We may never know.
November 12, 2024 at 6:06 pm #293719Either way it’s a wage saved long term.

Ian Sharp would be my guess ..
November 12, 2024 at 6:16 pm #293721It is strong language, no mutual consent stated, just a termination. In the non footballing world it probably means a lot more.

November 12, 2024 at 6:19 pm #293723That was always going to happen once the new CEO came we are non league lam afraid. We need players or no promotion.

November 12, 2024 at 6:38 pm #293726I find it difficult to comprehend. Lee has done so much over decades and certainly found some great players. I am also concerned about the departure of two former Directors. We labour on.
November 12, 2024 at 6:41 pm #293727Which directors?
November 12, 2024 at 6:47 pm #293728Over decades?
It was over a decade since a great player was brought into GP.

November 12, 2024 at 6:48 pm #293729Who will awaywego blame for signings in the future, hopefully the manager the one who should be front and centre selecting the players ‘He’ wants.
Turnbull cut down for the dross he’s recommended to Michelle of late and Swanny before.
Well done Michelle.November 12, 2024 at 7:05 pm #293730Terminated “Hasta la vista baby”
Glad he was sacked and not That left by mutual consent nonsense.November 12, 2024 at 7:09 pm #293731My take on recent results, performances and back room staff comings and goings is that there is again below the surface turbulence at the club counter to the UNITY message displayed publicly. I have no idea the source of the turbulence but whatever it is, we need calmer waters again quickly or we risk be stranded in the Established National League North team sea for many seasons to come!

November 12, 2024 at 7:25 pm #293733IRON BRU will need another podcast. Timing of said announcement needs discussing.

November 12, 2024 at 7:28 pm #293734I’d imagine they’ve bung him a thick wedge to avoid complications of unfair dismissal and tribunals and the like?
November 12, 2024 at 7:31 pm #293735Going by the new electric range in the shop and today’s sacking we may have a dictator running the club lol.
The writing on the shirt and the lighting bolt looks very much like something from 1939/45 not a good look imo.November 12, 2024 at 7:32 pm #293736Whom was it that recommended AB?
Sold a pup.
Ex Donny Damsels.
Ex Scunny boys 13s to 16s Coach.November 12, 2024 at 7:40 pm #293738No tribunals Rene they’ve just terminated his contract, will have to pay an agreed amount or maybe he’ll do a Keith Hill and refuse it and just take his monthly salary till the contract ends that way he gets the full amount.
November 12, 2024 at 7:53 pm #293739Will he have been on an open ended or fixed term contract?

November 12, 2024 at 8:21 pm #293740Tbf with Matt Roberts coming in he wasn’t required anymore and his role as Hilton’s mouthpiece at times left a bad taste in said gob. He’s a resourceful lad he will find another job in football somewhere.
November 12, 2024 at 9:03 pm #293743I was only saying the other day I did see the point in us keeping him around. Turnbull has always been there in the background, but he was living off his past exploits at finding Keogh, sharp, hooper e.t.c years before.
Then as stated above you had Turnbull threatening fans and turning on them over Hilton which didn’t go down too well. New C.E.O will do whatever he was doing behind the scenes.
November 12, 2024 at 9:14 pm #293745Will he? Turnbull was in football matters,do you think a motor racing commentator will do that?
Awaywego rejoicing that a good man has lost his livelihood shows how vile and toxic our fan base has become.3 users thanked author for this post.
