Maybe not but a 41% win ratio at Rochdale and 50% win ratio at Tranmere lean towards him having some idea.

But he’s not at Rochdale or Tranmere he’s at Peter Swann’s Scunthorpe United!

    There’s a huge difference.

    Lost Hope! Years ago

Long gone we are an absolute laughing stock of Lincolnshire.
We will sign equally poor offerings as for the last how many season when interest was lost.

Father been going since the 60’s, he’s not returning until there’s change.
So yes he’s seen the 70’s & 80’s so it must be bad.
3 of us have had enough so we will be saving a few Bob and not having to watch absolute dross and wasting 3-4 hours on Saturday afternoon.

I fully understand every word that you are saying Roamingbull, just like your father I have also been attending and supporting the team since 1951, until the past two seasons, the Covid one and last season, I just cannot take any more watching such boring, non-entertaining and defensive shite, I have reached my limit of it, and will not go again until something changes, but I cannot see this happening, simply I feel that Swann wants the club to liquidate so he can get back money from the land that his company now own, after signing it over after HE RAN UP A £13 million debt, so the life time fans and all the others have to shoulder the blame. But Swann still has the backing and support of Uptheiron-99.

What’s the alternative? Wallow in self pity like you lot? No thanks.

Just because you are happy to accept incompetence it doesn’t mean the rest of us should.

Hopefully you get new owners who are actually fans of the club like we have.

We watched our club decay for 20 years and if his masterplan for the next few years had come to fruition we would have been gone, probably starting a phoenix club.

Theres always hope and when (hopefully soon Swann relinquishes control, you will get some people in who love the club and not just use it as a play thing)

When this happens the fans will return no doubts.

A week now lost in which the putative new squad might have been: gelling, bonding, coalescing and in some cases – even learning the names of their new teammates.

Squad of 15 according to the OWS – though I notice no one has bothered to add our single, solitary, sole summer signing to the list!

Might have been harsh on Bunn Ferrite, but honest, 20 apps and 1 goal.

Has he is not yet with a new club others within football obviously agree.

We are sat here debating left backs etc and other trialists. It is a goalscorer we are desperate for. A 20 goal a season man can paper over the cracks and possibly cover up a very poor squad peppered with youngsters.

But that would depend on the manager wanting his players to get the ball into the box in the first place. We spent most of last season going backwards, kicking the ball out, or simply passing the ball to the opposition. Set plays were a disaster with the opposition often scoring from OUR corners or free kicks.

We were lacking in many areas and I cannot see Hilldo changing that with Boyce being the only addition. Delaney was class but ran ragged with the dross selected alongside him each week. I am also puzzled to know why people think Taft will suddenly become interested and want to play for our club.

PS Uti99 does your positivety come in liquid or powder form?

Wait, what? They’re supposed to add the three trialists. UTI99’s included them in his list. Maybe the site needs updating?

If we were to get a 20 goals a season man (highly unlikely) he’d probably be played DMF.

I recall our last such player was used as a wide man!

Is it reasonable to assume that if any of the trialists had been really impressive we might have signed them up after a week?
Are they a bunch of duffers who will be shipped out and another load brought in?
Are they just using us to get fit until they get a better offer?
Does anybody recognise a trialist face or two from the training photos?

I am now saying that he was brilliant but I thought he was comfortably the best of last summer’s signings and generally the team looked better (less crap?) with him in it. If he’d been able to keep fitter for longer I think we’d have seen even more from him. Still, water under the bridge now.

I was just about to suggest McKeown, he is the best chance we have of a decent keeper.

Kieran O’Hara, released by Fleetwood, would be better IMO.

Mkeown is decent but lightweight for a keeper, bad at crosses and commanding his area but a great shot stopper and leader not sure hes what you need if you don’t have a big /physical defence

Just out of interest, Has Mr Swann or his representative communicated in any way what the plan for next season is? They say football is now more business than sport but I can’t think of any other industry that would treat its customers this way. Even Tescos let’s it’s audience know what they are planning.

They are planning to play 46 games of football.

Do you mean what are the owner/coo expectations?

Should be a big improvement on last season when we played football in about 4 of the games.

Feel sorry for the folks who have paid for season tickets with blind faith
No players hence no kit not required if no one to wear it.
Really can’t see anything different from the last few seasons relegation followed by club folding thought the 70s were bad but this is a disgrace our proud club ruined by clueless management all the way from top to bottom
I will continue to go to games but I pick and choose these days definitely not Boreham Wood away on a Tuesday night

    Why wouldn’t I get a season ticket?

Aslong as there’s 11 players on the pitch with the SUFC badge on their shirt they’ll get my support.

Will they have to bring along their own shirt and sew a badge on. Or are we getting a set made up?

If so, will they arrive before the new signings, or after?

They are planning to play 46 games of football.

What is the club’s mission? The mandatory fulfilment of fixtures or to win as many games as possible?

If it’s the latter, you would hope there might be a plan to achieve that goal, no?
