Good vocal support from the few Gloucester fans, well done.
Noticed that they sang out for Gloucestershire, as other fans have their own county, I may have missed it but I haven’t heard Lincolnshire being sung out by our fans since 1974. What a bad decision it was to create the hated Humberside.

“Panic on the streets of Carlisle, Dublin, Dundee, North Lincolnshire” wouldn’t have had quite the same ring to it, though.
Oh Lincolnshire is wonderful chant does pop up now and then, most recently the Scarboro game.
Yorkshire is often chanted at Hull matches, H*mberside was a stinking stain on history.

In contrast, away fans calling us “dirty Yorkshire bastards” is a far bigger insult than “dirty northern bastards”!
I recall being on Wembley Way ahead of the Johnstone’s Paints Trophy Final and the Luton fans were chanting “we speak English!”
Or Millwall fans pronouncing themselves MiWaw

Bloody cheek, it’s well known you’re southern, in fact as the song goes ‘you’re so southern you’re practically French’. ;-)
Visiting friends in Ashington for the first time they thought we were southerners
People from there think anywhere further south than Scotch Corner is the south. :-)
NI lives in Northumberland, any place south of the Humber is southern. ;-)
My Boro friend would say Hull and Scunny is southern. You’re lucky we tolerate you. :-) We’re further north than Manchester.

When I got married we bought a house in a village called Ryton which was south of the R Tyne.
Friends, family and work colleagues were aghast that we were going to live outside of the civilised world!
