How time passes so slowly in Limbo-land serving Purgatory.

It’s now four weeks since the deal was supposed to be completed.

How long will our sentence be?

    Today is the longest day.
I hope this doesn’t become the longest takeover bid in history.

According to this person on the Scunny Fans Facebook group, there doesn’t appear to be any problems and everything in the garden is rosy, particularly communication. Shame these supposed fantastic interactions are limited to Facebook. What about the majority of fans who don’t access it? To be frank, I think it’s piss poor limiting interaction to a sycophantic Facebook group.

‘Can we just have an appreciation post for David White , for amazing interaction/contact with the fans , for saving not just my club but OUR club , for keeping us all in the know with any information regarding the situations of the ongoings at the club , signings etc , just a massive thank you for giving us all Iron fans faith again into what’s been some really troubled few years . Thank you so much , we all have your back . There’s a few idiots but for every 1 idiot there’s a 1000 iron fans supporting you the whole way , so Thank you. Oh and one more thing , Up the f****** Iron !’

Wow, I assume that’s a post on Facebook.
There’s no wonder Scunthorpe United are in the predicament they are with gullible fans like that.

This thread title will hook bpg in to tell us purgatory is a false teaching from a false faith, and shouldn’t be used for even football club analogies. ;-)

Posted on the Scunny Fans Facebook page, which seems to be the only place he communicates on. Call me old fashioned but whats happened to communicating via local/ regional news and media outlets like our rivals do? Is this the new order? Facebook or nowt? Surely it makes sense to update supporters on a wider scale to give the club more exposure and attraction ?

Having to research info and updates about club affairs (signings apart) via social media does have it’s fun aspects though-you can come across all manner of ex-schoolmates happy clapping (even though they only ever supported Man U, Leeds or Liverpool and constantly derided the Iron), ex-teachers, who were always a bit loopy tbh, daft friends of friends who now see themselves as some sort Iron overlords, and old workmates you never even knew supported the Iron before Wembley 1999!

Don’t people have the simple choice to view if they want Deerey, that’s what you normally advocate on here, dare say the majority of iron do access it, nearly 5000 members now, If I want news I go to places that provide it I don’t bury my head in the sand, find it all very strange people access fishy our nearest rivals site but yet won’t access the scunny fans Facebook or Twitter group.

Why is it so hard to publish things via several sources when news needs to be shared? Why is it too much to ask for some professional communication?

Your usual contrary type response. Of course they have a choice. I haven’t advocated a Facebook fans group to be the key platform to hear from the owner. You’re completely missing or ignoring the point. But that’s par for the course.

But your the same with interviews it’s on your terms, else it’s not acceptable to you, I’m not bothered which platform we hear or see it from.

Whilst I am a dinosaur I am IT savvy – but I dont do Facebook or Twitter but tend to rely on the Clubs official website, and the news/banter/discussions you all post on this platform.
Not anti Facebook/Twitter just cant be a*sed :) UTI

Lol, ‘it’s on your terms’. Yeah, bit too much to expect interviews with independent journalists isn’t it. How greedy of me.

Wow Derry, that Facebook post really exists, quite vomit inducing .
The maths is a bit out mind you, I personally know well over a dozen that he’d discuss as idiots , as it’s not fantastical to assume there are more, I can only assume we’ll either need a new ground, his maths is off or he’s talking bs?

Better to be silent and thought an idiot than to speak up and remove all doubt.

I take anything posted on Happy Clappers with a kilo of salt.

I get people saying that we’ve had a bad few years let’s get excited but I could also say I’m depressed I’m going to buy whatever I want in JD Sports and pay for it on Klarna.
