No 2?
That would be the dream teamUTI
August 8, 2020 at 8:53 am #193136Agree but unlikely, suspect it will be a former playing colleague from Watford days or more recent. Richard Hall would also be good.
August 8, 2020 at 9:02 am #193138Apparently used to be big mates with Clayton Blackmore who is now academy coach at Dinamo Brest
August 8, 2020 at 1:22 pm #193144He was big mates with Daz who worked on the car park at Glanford Park.😃
August 8, 2020 at 5:22 pm #193149I think Daz would be in budget, not sure about Blackmore.
August 8, 2020 at 8:39 pm #193160I think Daz would be in budget, not sure about Blackmore.
Blackmore is at a Belarus academy team! I think we could just about do better!
August 10, 2020 at 5:45 pm #193207Done deal according to Chumpie Wilson
August 10, 2020 at 6:20 pm #193208Experienced ‘keeper as well on a 2 for 1 deal?
August 10, 2020 at 8:00 pm #193217Awesome news
August 10, 2020 at 8:35 pm #193219Notts county fans are off the impression Cox will go back to County for Mitch Rose, 26yr old CM player. Cox and the other management there really rate him.
I’m not sure if he lives up this end but he used to play for the cods.
I agree with others though on the GK front. We need an experienced, solid one badly.
August 10, 2020 at 8:59 pm #193224If this is true and it is Lillis its fantastic news, I think we are finally going to have some passion and Scunny diehards in the dugout.
I think it shows how this board has some impact of what goes on at the SVS, I’m sure the podcast with Lillis planted the seed. I expect the content of this board including the podcasts are monitored by a Pawn minion.
I am starting to have lots of optimism for September.
August 10, 2020 at 9:19 pm #193226Is Josh a free agent? Loaned out by Rochdale last year so guessing surplus to requirements.
Could fit the bill.
August 10, 2020 at 9:24 pm #193227Rather looking forward to this season now, just a shame we can’t actually go to games yet!

August 10, 2020 at 9:31 pm #193228Hopefully he Was chosen for the position by Cox and not elsewhere. Regardless, he’s the type of person we need at the club, especially with such a young squad.
Really pleased with both managerial appointments; they have persuaded me to purchase a season ticket For next year and I’d presume a few others the same.

Mark said Josh was out of contract when interviewed on the Bru podcast. If he’s still out of contract, I think he’d be a good signing although we would have to remember that he was never very good at coming off his line for crosses.
August 10, 2020 at 11:15 pm #193232Would be over the moon if both Lillis’ returned to the club this summer!
August 11, 2020 at 11:41 am #193242“we would have to remember that he was never very good at coming off his line for crosses.”
Haven’t you spotted the common denominator? Every keeper coached by Mussy does the same thing, I think he must tie their legs to the goalposts during coaching sessions!!

Neither was Dracula but he had a great bite to his game!!👹
August 11, 2020 at 2:05 pm #193246When I was playing in 70s/80s our gaffer often used to say “remember lads, they call their goalie Dracula, and you know why?”
To which we’d all reply, “because he’s afraid of crosses!”

Was he? I thought Pressman would have been the keeping coach when Lillis was with us. I probably remember it more with Lillis because the contrast with Murphy, who came for everything, was massive!
August 12, 2020 at 7:42 pm #193298Has there been a formal announcement yet, is he coming or not?
August 12, 2020 at 9:24 pm #193302I’m eating humble pie and it tastes good. Really pleased he’s back. Experience alongside hungry new manager.
August 13, 2020 at 1:12 pm #193309Has the pen ran out at the GP headquarters ?.
I hope if that’s the case they find another pen, I was expecting him to sign before today.
August 13, 2020 at 3:22 pm #193315They’re waiting for his Covid test results!
August 13, 2020 at 3:33 pm #193317IT does make you feel someone has jumped the gun on this one, though I hope it is true, but it seems a long while since it was unofficially announced.
August 13, 2020 at 7:19 pm #193320That’s exactly why I’m feeling extremely uneasy about it. It’s fair to say that it’s taking a long time to conclude.
I don’t know what else is going on behind the scene. I wouldn’t have thought they’d have been any real difficulty in appointing him.
It does make you wonder though with the time it’s taking !
August 13, 2020 at 7:32 pm #193322He did say in the podcast he was working in a nursing home so he’s probably working his notice, but it would be nice to get it confirmed.
Wonder where the SET got the info from initially, the fact it was the SET probably says it all, just trying to increase this week’s circulation.
August 13, 2020 at 7:49 pm #193324yes the “Lillis story” must have sold at least one more copy.
August 13, 2020 at 7:51 pm #193325Could have read it here.
