Due to covid and other reasons I haven’t been able to get to a match in 3 years so I have been planning the trip to Orient since the fixtures came out. It’s very apt that this will be the day we get relegated.

April 9, 2022 at 7:18 pm #235261See you there Irish, really looking forward to this one, my grandsons birthday and highly likely we will be there to see them relegated if not we will have won a game, no lose scenario for us.

Bring Michael Healy-Rae with you, he seems to be Swann’s cup of tea! 😜

Bloody hell irishiron, you have not been to games for 3 years because of Covid, Christ Swann has only used Covid for Scunnies pathetic showing for 2 years, I would have thought that the best reason for not attending is:- the pathetic entertainment and enjoyment would have been a better excuse mate. I haven’t attended for any of the past two seasons because the team performances have been bloody terrible, and the one up front shite that has been operated, that is after me attending since 1951!!!!
Lets just have a look at our performances since 1st Jan 2022:-
PLAYED 19 GAMES——–WON-1——-DRAWN-2———LOST-16.
POINTS AVAILABLE-57——ACTUAL POINTS WON-5.
GOALS SCORED IN THE 19 MATCHES-7——–GOALS AGAINST-39.
GAMES THAT SCUNNY FAILED TO SCORE A GOAL = 13 MATCHES (THAT IS 20 HOURS).
GAMES SINCE LAST WIN——-11.
GAMES WON IN THE WHOLE SEASON———4.So no real need to use Covid is there?????????
WELL DONE PETER SWANN !!!!!, ARE YOU STILL “GOING TO LEAVE THE CLUB IN A BETTER CONDITION THAN WHEN YOU TOOK OVER” ??????????????

April 10, 2022 at 1:57 pm #235353Awaywego your right it is a no lose scenario so looking forward to it. It will be good to get back to a bit of live football.
Even just a goal or leading a match for a few minutes would be nice!!2 users thanked author for this post.
April 10, 2022 at 2:34 pm #235356Pop along to the Birbeck tavern Irish, the new fan director invited me and I take that means everyone for a chat with himself and Lee (don’t know whether that’s Turnbull) he’s going for a couple of hours from 11’30.

Maybe balls Iron-awe, but 100% true, I just missed out the number of matches were Scunny did not have one shot on target!!!
Regarding the Leyton away match, I have actually really attending these games at Leyton, a drive down to Leytonstowe, a nice overnight hotel stay, a few pints and after a nice breakfast, take a short ride to the ground, which has a very nice large hotel and casino in the ground, I really looked forward to our Leyton matches, a vast difference to now a days when I wouldn’t go ten miles to sit and watch our present days team and tactics.
April 11, 2022 at 11:32 am #235391It was a joke BS, lighten up FFS. 🙄

April 11, 2022 at 12:58 pm #235396I know that Iron-awe, I only wish that my satistics were a joke mate, but sadly they are 100% true. I am very lightened up since not attending my seat in the Cluggy, I will be even more so when I read that Swann has really gone!!
Not so good news, I have just seen that the Leyton game is on iFollower, thats another £10 thrown down the drain, but just hoping that Scunny have a shot on target, I suppose that will be worth the tenner ha ha!, just living in hope though.

April 15, 2022 at 2:23 pm #235630Hot Cross Bunn is off the menu and Nutella is on the back shelf.
Swann’s eggs have been well and truly hidden.
At least go down fighting Iron.
Go for it!
April 15, 2022 at 7:08 pm #235694Well, that must be one of the worst performances the club has performed for many a year, and it could have been seven or eight if they had taken a few more of their really good chances, the team effort was about on par with the Radio commentary as the three of them moaned for 90 mins, you would have thought that we were not relegated before today, christ we were doomed six months ago.
All my 72 years of following the Iron, I cannot ever remember a season when I couldn’t say, “Well we have two or three really good players”, but sadly there is not one good player in the complete squad, the squad had been built up and they are all rubbish, and sadly a lot of them do noy want to be at Scunthorpe, but it does not stop them drawing their wages.
I still say that Swann has guided the club like this on purpose, to make sure he gets the money he ran up for the club by his stupid very bad guidance, he has wrecked the sporting lives of many thousands of Scunny supporters, who no longer have any money, no ground or land, a debt owed to the Football League of £2 million, and worse of all we do not have even one player that is even league two standard, plus Swann has driven 2,500 loyal fans away from the club simply by not ofering a single reason to turn out at GP.
For Christ sake Swann get away from the club, and give it a small chance of regaining any form of being a small friendly well ran club, you have wrecked everything you have done on top of your constant lies over 8 years. GO NOW.

April 15, 2022 at 7:26 pm #235696I wonder whether Swann should enter politics. He seems to have many of the necessary credentials.

April 15, 2022 at 7:36 pm #235700It was an insipid performance, which we’re used to, but the last 20 minutes of the first half was beyond embarrassing,
LT was present along with the club Secretary who both had to sit there (and try and grin and bear it).
No sign of our ex Chairman though. As captain of the ship I thought he might have had the guts to turn up to go down when his vessel so to speak.
Clearly not. Spineless.

April 15, 2022 at 9:48 pm #235729You’re right about that apb. Swann is utterly spineless along with his other couldn’t care less family. What a liar. They will never be allowed anywhere near another football club. This must have tarnished his business reputation too I would imagine that is if he ever did have a decent reputation in the first place. Wasn’t it his wife who had all the money.

April 15, 2022 at 10:37 pm #235737Orient could and should have scored 8 today !
Our fate was sealed months ago and the Owner did not have the courage to see it through to the end.
With this lot we will be in National League North in 12 months time !2 users thanked author for this post.
April 16, 2022 at 1:34 pm #235808The first half was just as bad as the Harrogate away game, they shoot once they score they shoot again they score, think they hit the woodwork 5 times, then Rory goes walkabout, bloody hilarious really. Then to cap it all a split arse told me I was out of order shouting your bloody shite at the players at the end, I asked her why she was clapping but she didn’t have an answer to that. I was quite proud of myself for not telling her women shouldn’t be allowed at football, (not really I knew I would get a ban if I told her) doesn’t mean I don’t believe it though.

April 16, 2022 at 5:11 pm #235827I thought Scunny fans were the worst in the country for shouting at their own players?

April 16, 2022 at 5:21 pm #235828We all know that was for booing a player on to the pitch Deerey, at Bradford next week I will be fully behind the team and manager like I do at every game I go to, but put in a performance like that again they will get the same reaction I think that is fair don’t you?
April 16, 2022 at 5:24 pm #235829No Ironawe she was to stupid to know why she was clapping, do you have any ideas why she was?

Well, Man Utd fans were booing Pogba when he was subbed off, so we’re not the only ones to boo. ;-)
April 16, 2022 at 5:55 pm #235835To be fair, they didn’t deserve any applause yesterday.
They were well beaten (as usual) because they aren’t good enough, but effort is the bare minimum required – and their body language was awful, particularly in the first half.
Everything was half hearted – even the engagement from the technical area was subdued.
They all looked as if they’d rather be anywhere than Brisbane Road.
Their attempt at ‘applauding’ the fans at the end summed up the season – pathetic.
They couldn’t get off the pitch quick enough and made no attempt to hide it.
I thought they showed contempt for the fans – which leads me to the next point.
At least the players can say they there were for the curtain call, unlike the Swann family who clearly had better things to do than watch the inevitable result of their laughable efforts at running a football club.
April 16, 2022 at 6:40 pm #235840Can’t remember the last game I went to where they aren’t booed off at half time never mind full time.
April 16, 2022 at 8:54 pm #235846No Ironawe she was to stupid to know why she was clapping, do you have any ideas why she was?
Wow you have never met the woman before, exchanged a couple of words at a football match and yet you already know her intellectual level by revealing she is stupid. Think that says more about you then her.
